"New look, Muhammad?" Daus surveys him as he pulls the coffee mug to his lips, taking in a long languid sip. "I like it."

That's because I look like you.

He can't say that, so he smiles affably, drops his gaze to the ground in what he hopes looks like shyness. "Oh you know... That turtleneck was too hot. I was bored of it too."

The first thing he had done when the weekend arrived was to rush to Dockers and waddle home with several packed bags. Stupid girls. Stupid weather. He now looked reminiscent of Daus, in a crisp patterned shirt and deep indigo pants, and brown loafers. In the morning, he had looked at himself in the mirror, the rest of his room dark with the yet-to-approach dawn, and felt a shiver of pleasure skitter down his spine, for no apparent reason.

"Well." Daus gives him the once over again, before his eyes crinkle, along with the rest of his grogeous, cocoa face. "Nice."

He tries not to smile too hard.
