"i have to go upstairs.."

before anyone could respond, you bolted up the stairs.

the vampire finally had  enough, getting up from his seat and walking up the stairs to your room.

he busted the door open, only to see you wearing makeup.

"oh su-"

before you could say something, he slammed you to the wall, making the door shut.

he covers your mouth and his free hand grasping onto your waist harshly, making you scream in pain.

"i had enough of this.." he growls.

"that boy.. that GODDAMN boy.. do you see his what he's doing? do you even KNOW who he is?"

you looked at him, in confusion.

"DON'T GIVE ME THAT LOOK!" he yells at you, pushing you against the wall.

you moved his hands off your mouth so you could speak.

"subaru-kun.. i really don't know who this 'boy' you were talking about.. i was just-"

"THAN WHO'S THE BOY YOU KEEP TALKING ABOUT?!"

"i don't know which BOY you meant if you can juST EXPLAIN TO ME"

"YOU KNOW WHO I MEANT! YOU WERE TALKING TO HIM AT SCHOOL!"

"wh-wh.. .. THAT WAS JUST MY FRIEND!"

"oh so flirting with him means 'just a friend'?"

"i WASN'T flirting with him! were did you get that idea.. from your jealous rage?!"

"I'M NOT JEALOUS"

"THAN WHAT ARE YOU, A FILTHY ANIMAL WHO DOESN'T ALOW A GIRL TO DATE WHOEVER SHE WANTS? SHE HAS A LIFE YOU KNOW. SHE'S SO SICK OF GETTING BLOOD SUCKED EVERY, SINGLE GODDAMN DAY!"

the vampire couldn't take it anymore, and just like that, he punched you on the stomach with full force.

you fell down, clutching your stomach and puke out blood.

realizing what he've done.. he knelt down and starts shaking.

"(Y/N)? (Y/N)!"

"subaru sakamaki?" the doctor called.

subaru looked up.

"i... i have some bad news.."

the room door opened quietly, and in came the vampire, hands in his pockets as his head was down.

you looked at him, your eyes were tired but you forced it open,.. just to see him.

subaru sat on a chair next to you, his head was still down, making no eye contact causing you to chuckle.

"always this quiet?"

the vampire couldn't say anything.

he felt guilty.. and that will never change.

you looked at the full lenght mirror before speaking up.

"the doctor said that i might not survive.. and you're in here... and.."

you became quiet.

"subaru kun.. can you atleast say something?"

he was still quiet and you sighed.

"fine well.. i have a few things to say anyways.."

your head turned towards him.

"i.."

...

"i li-"

...

"i love you, subaru-kun"

his eyes widened, making him look up.

he noticed your eyes were filled with tears, and they were spilling onto the bed.

"i always had and.. the boy you probably heard i liked.. was actually you..and it had always been you.. your quiet personality.. your.. tsundere ways.." you both laughed sofly.

"and i just.." you became quiet again.

apparently you were shocked when he leaned and covered your mouth gently.

"don't speak.. it'll hurt more.." he whispers.

you looked at him with sympathy as he kissed you.

"it makes me happy you l-like me too.." you stuggled, your lungs hurted.

his smile dropped as he watched you breathe harder.

even when it hurted, you gave him a smile, a calm-down-i'm-still-alive smile.

but that didn't calm him down.

he was panicking so much that you had to hold his hand firmly as you can.

"please subaru don't be sad.. i... i still.."

your eyelids finally closed, and your hands slipped down and fell.

"i still forgive you..."
