Chapter 14- Mission Cole

"Ouch!" I rubbed my shoulder.

"She can always say she was drunk," Said Leah.

"No way! I am going to go for a job interview I do not want to mention anything to do with me being drunk."

"Even though he clearly knew you were and offered you water," Holly pointed out.

"Argh! please just shoot me now." I moaned and placed my face in my hands feeling irritated with this whole situation.

"OMG OMG OMG!!" Screamed Holly excitedly as she jumped up and started laughing "You guys I have the BEST IDEA EVER."

Sally and Leah beamed at her waiting for a reply whereas me, I held my breath knowing whatever words came out next from Holly's mouth would not agree with me.

"Well you know in them action movies where the agent has an earpiece where his backup team can communicate with him and the agent can vice versa with his microphone thingy, don't ask me anything technical because I have no idea what they are called, but you get what I am on about?" Holly asked eagerly.

Leah and Sally nodded while I just looked at Holly with my mouth wide open. This cannot be good!

Holly continued "Yeah so, we'll get the same thing for Myra and we would be able to hear every little exchange of words between Ethan and Myra, therefore we will be able to help her out."

"That is good," Said Leah happily.

"Wow!" was the word Sally chose.

While I sat there gawping at Holly at her stupid plan.

"No, No, No!" I shook my head. "What is wrong with you people?" I asked in disbelief. "That plan is utterly stupid."

"No Myra, think about it. If Ethan asks you something you cannot answer we will be there telling you what to say and with us as your team you can trust us to get you that job."

"Why can't I just go in there and do all this by myself?" I asked.

"It is up to you but come on we are like the love guru's here to help you out of a sticky situation."

"How about you guys help with every scenario he can throw at me and teach me how I can handle it?"

"What if we teach you every scenario we think he is going to throw but he comes up with something we didn't think about ,what are you going to do then?" Asked Sally.

Will I be really idiot to give in to their crazy idea? I mean I really need this job as a way forward in my life and so far I have not achieved anything.

1.My work as a librarian is boring and not challenging enough for me

2.My job search is going nowhere

3. If I mess this situation with Ethan I can say goodbye to my step forward in life.

I quickly made my mind up and took a deep breath and said, "I am so going to regret it but I'm in."

*** PRESENT***

"Just take the elevator to floor 6 and proceed to the reception on that floor," Smiled the receptionist.

"Thank you," I said as I started to make my way to the elevator.

"I'm really craving for some chocolate fudge cake," I heard Holly say.

I entered the lift and pressed the button for floor 6, when I whispered harshly for the girls to hear, "I really do not want to hear your cravings right now."

"Where are you?" asked Sally.

"In the lift."

One of the girl's started laughing "What's so damn funny?" I demanded.
