March 3rd, 3333, SecDef Noah enters the command center without opening the door and sullenly announces, “Arch-Commander Michael issued Return-to-Base orders for all MAAP Astronauts.”

MAAPCOM General Moroni ponders a moment, then responds, “Why?”

“The Millennial Astronaut Array Program is cancelled due to impending war. This will be the last war fought among Earth’s inhabitants. You know what this means.”

General Moroni turns to his Aid. “What have we found?”

“Too many inhabited worlds to count. Data shows they are baptized planets. Except one. Still in its antediluvian state. Its people have all devolved into primates. Their flood is coming.”

Back story:

The planet whose people had devolved into apes, or rather, ape-like humans, is not Earth. The characters in the dialogue are on Earth in the year 3333, when technology had advanced to the point that we had discovered millions of other earth-like planets that are inhabited by humans who are children of God, just like we are. The people on each of those worlds started out with their own Adam and Eve, just like we did.

All of those planets had experienced a global flood just like Noah’s flood. However, one of the planets was still in its early history and had not yet experienced its baptism by flood waters.

The devolved inhabitants of that planet were the results of the people on that planet corrupting their flesh through wicked and indulgent applications of genetic engineering.

The last war on Earth is a Biblical reference to the Final Battle to be fought between Michael the Archangel (Adam) and Satan. The righteous will fight under the command of Michael. The wicked will fight on the side of Satan.

The Final Battle will take place after the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ on the earth. That will be some 1,260 years after the Second Coming of Christ.

Following that battle, the Final Judgment of Christ will take place, and every person who belongs to the earth will receive an eternal degree of glory or darkness commensurate with the faith that person has exercised in Christ. Only the meek, those who will have fully repented and kept all of Christ’s teachings and ordinances, will inherit the earth. The earth will become a Celestial world, like the place where God dwells.

The good and honest people of the earth who believed in Christ but embraced the craftiness of men and refused the fullness of Christ’s Gospel will go to a degree of glory called the Terrestrial Kingdom.

Those who would not repent, and who had indulged in lascivious behaviors, perversions, murder, lying, thievery, and other gross sins, will receive a place in the lowest degree of glory, the Telestial Kingdom.

Those who once knew and received the fullness of Christ’s gospel and then completely turned against it and denied the Holy Ghost become sons of perdition, like Satan, and will be cast into Outer Darkness, which is Hell.

The outcome of the Final Battle and the Final Judgment will determine which of these four places each person will go for eternity: Celestial Kingdom (a Heaven like the brightness of the sun), Terrestrial Kingdom (a Heaven like the brightness of the moon), Telestial Kingdom (a Heaven like the brightness of the stars), Outer Darkness (Hell).
