"Mey-Rin! Dammit!" My angered voice rang out through the corridor as I gently tugged at the piece of shattered porcelain in my thigh. I whimpered softly when I finally managed to get it out and my blood made a small pool in the floor. I felt air rushing wildly around me and a warm hand gently covered the bleeding wound. "Can't you do the simplest of things and not injure yourself?"
I sighed and brushed the comment off, but that was only because Ciel had run his tongue along the wound to heal it and I was blushing like a mad-women. "I-I was just going to the library when I tripped and fell on the rug. I guess Mey-Rin didn't do a very good job at cleaning up the last time she broke something."
"Obviously." Was his reply. "Try to be more careful next time, I don't need you breaking your neck or something when I already have enough issues on my mind."
I had to refrain from scowling and back-talking him.
"Yes, Ciel. I promise to be more careful."

I read silently in the chair across from Ciel, glancing up at him once in a while.
I don't deny that Ciel is very attractive and I fell for him long ago, although I have been hiding my feelings and have no intention to allow him to find out.
"You're staring." I was torn from my thoughts by Ciel's voice. "Huh? O-oh s-sorry." I quickly averted my eyes back to my book.
Jesus Christ, Crona get it together. What a foolish girl you are!
I scolded at myself and pushed the blush down, shaking all thoughts that aren't about my book away.
"Crona, show me the mark." My eyes darted up to meet his, staring intensely back. "U-uh why?"
He only sighed and got up, seeming to disappear and reappear beside me. "Just let me look." He said softly before gently sliding the sleeve of my dress down where the mark was branded just above my collarbone.
"Have you been scratching at it, Crona? Do not lie to me." I nodded slowly and turned my head away, pretending to be interested in the wall across from me.
"How many times have I told you not to tamper with it?" I shrugged softly, playing with my hands in my lap.
He gently turned my head to look him in the eye.
"I think you need to tell me why you keep doing this." His revealed azure blue eye stared intensely into my crystal. "It burns sometimes, like my skin is on fire. Clawing at it seems to help."
He shook his head and laid his hand flat on it. "Stop it. If it burns again, come to me. Understood?"
"Yes, Ciel."
He gave a rare smile, obviously fake, but was appreciated, and held his hand out. "Would you like to play a few games of chess with me, my lady?"
"O-of course."
****
"Sebastian!" I called when I saw him coming down the hall. "I need your help!"
He stood still, looking as if he was trying very hard not to laugh at my situation.
I sat on the floor with one of my long blonde pigtails caught on one of the candle holders.
"My, my Crona. You are almost as bad as Mey-Rin sometimes."
I scowled at him and pointed to my hair. "Please untangle it before something happens and I catch on fire." He sighed. "Of course, my lady. Master wouldn't like if his prey was swept from him before he could catch it."
I sighed softly and stared blankly at the floor.
Although I know its what I am, I hate when he refers to me as a meal!

I threw the axe and it hit it's target perfectly, lodging itself into the middle of the tree trunk.
Before Ciel saved my life that day, I was just like Mey-Rin. An assassin. Though very young, I was a professional. Its not like it was my own choice though, I cried for every person I killed, and they still haunt me.
On that day, when someone found out I was coming for them, they lit their house aflame with me in it. I thought I was surely going to die, with the fire that was building higher and getting closer, paired with the several gunshot wounds I had received.
Then he showed up and I made the contract with him, he saved me and let me live with him, let me have the title of his fiancé despite Elizabeth.
I chuckled when I thought of the one girl on earth I might actually enjoy killing, as I gave a forceful pull to get my miniature axe out of the tree.
"Crona! Dinner is ready!" I heard Sebastian call out to me. "Yes, mom!" I called back, giggling when I heard Sebastian chuckle.
I tried not to trip over my dress as I managed to make it safely to the dinner table.
"I- sorry I am late. I had to pu- what the hell is this?"
