I remember that night like it was a movie. The way we danced like idiots under the changing lights, the way we made harmless fun of others, all while realizing we were playing a dangerous game. The way we sat on the wet grass and looked up at the stars, attempting to get away from the lame party in the night. The way you draped your blazer over my shoulders as i begun to get cold, how you barely even flinched from the wind. I remember the way the light shined in your eyes and I swore i saw the galaxy.
When I saw those texts between you and that person, my heart broke into millions of tiny pieces. Like glass does, when it shatters as you drop it.
You were so in love with that girl that you had begun to move on from me even a few months before we broke up for good. I was trying so hard to be happy for you, I really was. Because I know she can make you happy and she can fulfill you. She can give you what I cannot.
Let's drop this feeling of dismay and rewind a few months back.
I want to tell a story.
