"Smartly there, men. Have ye never plundered. " The crew hurried under Captains orders.
"Did ye get the treasure? Nerida asked
"Of course my dear, have I never run a rig before?"
Nerida jumped on Captain Walker, wrapped her legs around him and kissed him. Rackham watched in disgust.
"I have seen bilge rats cleaner than her." exclaimed Jones. The two men shared a laugh and went back to striking the sails. As Nerida overheard their rude remark and was deeply insulted.
"Why does the crew despise me so much Captain."
"Oh Nerida, they don't despise ye." when Captain Walker gave Nerida those reassuring words the whole crew stopped what they were doing and glared at the two. There was a moment of silence followed by laughter.
"Ye know damn well it's bad luck to have a knavin wench on the ship. Is ye addled." Jones remarked.
Captain Walker then angrily stood up and threw his canister filled with rum at him. The Captain then commanded the crew to get back to work. He turned around to look at his wife, but she no longer stood there. He then went to the cabins to check up on her. She was sitting near the empty rum bottles, the Captain approached her. He saw tears running down her eyes, he sat next to her, trying to ignore the drunkin singing going on up on deck.
"Nerida are ye okay?" Captain asked. Nerida looked up at him, and without saying a word she got up and walked away. Captain didn't know what to say to make her feel better. He then got an idea.
"Nerida come here."
She turned around, and slowly made her way to him. He turned around and picked up a book of the shelf, he then opened it. Nerida looked closer the book was hollow, he took out a key and showed it to her.
"This is the key to the treasure that we took from the king today."
He then streched out his arm and waited for her to take it. She stood motionless.
"Take the bloody key Nerida."
She reached out and took it. He took off her necklace and laced the key hole through it. He then gently tied it around her neck.
"I trust ye with this, can ye promise to keep it safe and guard it with ye life."
"I promise Captain, I will guard it with our love. As long as you love me, ill keep it safe. " They both laughed.
"I love ye Nerida."
"I love you more." Captain looked deep into her eyes, he could see her love for him. He put his hands on her face, and without hesitation he kissed her. They where then interrupted, by a crash. The boat was rocking vigorously. Captain then proceeded to run up to deck, luckily they had not crashed. Captain looked at the crew and saw the horror in there eyes as the merciless ocean almost entirely swallowed them. The wave covered the whole boat, but didn't sink it. They kept riding the powerful waves.
"STRIKE THE SAILS, STEP TO IT MEN!" The whole crew worked together, as Captain frantically searched for his brother, Rackham. As all of the crew members were on deck except for him. He searched everywhere but he was nowhere to be found. After a couple of hours of fighting the treacherous waves it seemed hopeless. Captain Walker stopped yelling orders at the crew, it was a perilous battle between man and sea, and frankly they were not winning. The crew was tired and ready to take a caulk. After another hour the sea finally settled down. Captain turned towards the courageous crew and scanned it for his brother. He counted 15 men, out of 16.
"Men, i want ye to search every damn inch of this ship for Rackham." The crew stared back at him, motionless.
"WELL DON'T JUST BLOODY STAND THERE. STEP TO IT!" The crew started there search. Captain made his way to he cabins. He opened the door, and saw Nerida sitting on the dirty floor, she looked up, saw it was him and ran into his arms.
