Phoenix's P.O.V

Walking into the living room of Stark Tower, I looked around. No one seems to be up yet, good. "Jarvis?" I ask the artificial intelligence system, J.A.R.V.I.S., "Yes Phoenix? How may I be of assistance?" He responded.

"Umm, what time is it?" I ask timidly.

"It's 5:30 am." He stated.

"Thank you, Mister Jarvis, would you mind unlocking the door to the stairs to the roof?" I ask.

"That depends, would you mind telling me why you want to go to the roof." Jarvis inquired.

"Not at all, I would just like to watch the sunrise today, that's all" I reply politely.

"In that case, I will open the door, I suggest you put on a jacket or a blanket, it is rather windy and cold up on the roof." Jarvis said, the clunk of the lock opening was clearly audible in the silent building.

"Thank you, Mister Jarvis." I reply.

"Will that be all Phoenix?" Jarvis asked, "Yes, that will be all Mister Jarvis." I said before looking down at my clothes, a short sleeved black AC/DC shirt, blue jeans and bare feet, I decided against Jarvis's advice and pulled the door open quietly.

Walking up the stairs, the only noise was the soft tapping noise of my bare feet hitting the marble stairs. Reaching to last step, I shoved open the door to the roof, and stepped out, closing the door behind me. Walking close to the edge, I sat down and dangled my legs over the edge, feeling the biting cold wind sink its cold jaws into my exposed flesh. I sat there, legs dangling over the edge, for a while, just waiting for the sun to rise and shine it's warming light on the city around me. Just as I was thinking I should have listened to Jarvis, I heard the door open, tearing my eyes away from the brightening sky, I watched my adoptive father, Tony Stark, walk over with a blanket. Sitting next to me, he said in a worried tone of voice, "you shouldn't be up here alone, you could fall."

Returning my ever watchful gaze to the horizon, I say, "sorry, I just wanted to watch the sun rise."

Pulling the blanket around us both, he asks tentatively. "Would you mind if I watch it rise with you?" Pulling the blanket closer to me I joke. "What don't you have anything better to do, like tinkering with your suit?"

Looking at me he started clearly, but then started to ramble, "I heard you talking with Jarvis, and it got me thinking, when was the last time I watched the sun rise from up here. But I thought you wanted to be alone, so I let you be, but then Jarvis said you weren't wearing a jacket or a blanket, and I thought you might get cold, so I grabbed a blanket and brought it up."

"Hey it's alright, I was joking." I say.

"Oh, I knew that." He said, spotting him from the corner of my eye looking a bit embarrassed. Smiling, I pull the blanket off of my left hand, I point to the pink-ish, orange, horizon, where the rising sun was casting its warm rays, and chasing away the night, "look the sun is raising." Was all I said as I watched the last of the midnight blue get engulfed in the kind orange glow of the peacefully rising sun.

Anaira's P.O.V

"Ana, Jesse could you two hurry up we are going to be late." My dad, who used to be called Nova, calls down the hall to me and my twin brother, Jesse.

Sitting on my blue bed sheets, leaning against the corner of the wall, Xbox 360 controller in hand, pausing the game I was playing, Tomb Raider, I got up and looked around my room for my converse. I spot them on the shoe rack in my walk-in closet, at the foot of my bed, just before my full body mirror, that sat in the corner. Walking in, I grab my converse and walk\ over to my L-shaped desk, in the other corner of my room. Sitting on the spinning chair, I look over the plans that are scattered all over my desk, pulling my shoes on, i grab a black satchel, covered in pins (buttons), that hung off the back of my door. Throwing it on my shoulder, I look around my room one last time. Violet colored walls, bed sheet in a messy pile on my bed, the door to my walk-in closet half open, mirror leaning against the wall, T.V. turned to face my bed, spinning chair tucked into my desk and my desk covered with ingenious plans for pranks that I had yet to pull. Grinning I grab my planning notebook off my desk, I stuff it in my satchel and turn my T.V. off with the remote that sat on my messy covers, dropping it back onto my bed, i walk over to my door and turn the lights off, plunging my room into darkness.

Walking out of my room, I pull my door closed, I walk up the hallway and waited patiently by the front door, seeing my dad there I ask. "So, where are we going?"

"Umm, to S.H.I.E.L.D. I was called in, something about your enrollment in a new school." he explains.

"What?! I like the school I am at, they are all so gullible there." I exclaim.

"They really are gullible and they just can't figure out who changed the bell sound for barking dogs." Jesse stats, looking as though he were pondering the ideas he walks in, shoes on his feet.

"Oh I wonder whoever could do that." Our dad says sarcastically.

"So other than moving us from our beloved school, why do we have to go with you to S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Jesse asks.

"The Director, Nick Fury, thought it would be a good idea for you to meet some of the other students." He explains.

"Alright then, should we be going or are we going to be late?" I ask.

"What? Oh no we should have left five minutes ago." He says pushing us out the door.
