S1 Ep12: The One Where RJ Gets A New Job

[7am, Thursday morning, RJ and Sam's condo]
Sam: Tol, ba't ang pormal ng suot mo?
RJ: I have a job interview with PAL pagkatapos ko ihatid si Maine sa office niya.
Sam: Job Interview?
RJ: Yeah.
Sam: Paps, ayaw mo na ba maging model?
RJ [Sighs]: Ok naman maging model, Sam eh kaso the pay is just so-so. Alam mo yun? Wala tayong ipon kasi pag walang raket, wala rin sweldo.
Sam [shrugs]: Sabagay, I actually need to start looking for a job as well.
RJ: Apply ka rin sa PAL tol.
Sam [makes a face]: Tol alam mo naman na I get travel sickness! And ang mukhang ito, di bagay mag serve ng tao.
RJ [Shakes his head]: Ano pang display lang yun face mo?
Sam: Tama ka diyan!
RJ: Mag call boy ka na lang!
Sam: Oi, pwede. Binabayaran ako sa gustong kong gawin.
RJ: Ewan ko sayo. Alis na ako tol, baka malate pa si Maine sa office.
Sam: Sige, goodluck na lang sa interview mo. Sana makuha ka't mabayaran mo na ang renta natin next month.

RJ exits their condo and knocks on Maine and Valeen's across the hall. Maine opens it, already dressed for work handed RJ a tumbler of coffee and a toast which he gladly accepts. It has been their routine all week.

Maine [giggles]: Ang pogi mo
RJ: Thanks, pero OK na to for the job interview?
Maine: Yeah, you look really presentable. Ang hot mo tignan!
RJ [blushes]: Kinakabahan ako.
Maine: Don't be, I know you'll be fine. I'm excited for you, RJ. I really am! Imagine, ito na diba ang gustong mong trabaho?
RJ [chuckles]: It's just a stepping stone for me. Gusto ko talaga maging pilot. Once makakaipon ako dito I will apply in a flying school.
Maine: Naks, I'm rooting for you RJ! Basta you fly me around the world ha?
RJ: Of course, promise ko yan sayo!
Maine: Pinky promise mo yan.

She shows him her pinky and he accepts with a big smile as they enter the elevator going down together.

RJ: Maine?
Maine: Yes?
RJ: Thank you talaga ha?
Maine: For what?
RJ: For calming me down. Nakakawala ka ng nervous knowing you're supporting me.
Maine: Sus, ikaw naman RJ! I know you can do it.

She hugs him. He grins

[6pm, Cafe Dabarkads]
Jerald, Rico and Sam are chilling in the cafe when Valeen comes in looking troubled.

Jerald: Hi, Val. Are you OK?
Valeen [looks distracted]: Ha?
Sam: Kumusta si Tita, Val?
Valeen: O-ok naman si Mama. She's with dad, bukas na labas niya sa hospital and they're going home straight to Bulacan agad.
Jerald: Thats good to hear, ba't ganyan yun mukha mo? Parang ang laki ng problema mo?
Valeen [looks hesitant]: Sasabehin ko ba?
Jerald: Sabehin ang ano?
Valeen: Nasaan si Patricia?
Sam: Nasa unit niya naghahanda may date daw sila ni Matthew maya maya eh. Matthew just got back from out of town conference so excited siya.
Valeen: Out of town conference talaga o may nilalanding iba?
Jerald: What?!
Valeen [sighs]: Guys, help me! How do I tell Patricia he's cheating on her!
Sam: Wait, what?!
Valeen: I have this friend from the hospital- she's a nurse, classmate ko sa med school- who just got back from a week long vacation in Boracay with her friends tapos pinakita niya kanina sakin iyon Boracay pictures nila... and I saw Matthew's photos being sweet to this girl who turned out to be my friend's bestfriend. I asked her if matagal na si Matthew and the girl, I didn't make it obvious na kilala ko si Matthew and she said they'd been dating for years na daw. Obviously hindi ko chinika sa kaibigan ko na si Matthew is cheating on her friend kasi baka maaway at mapahiya si Patricia, who is oblivious to all this.
Sam [angrily]: Sabe ko nga ba masama ang kutob ko sa Matthew na yan eh!
Rico: Ano tol? Resbakan natin!
Valeen: Wait guys, e orient kaya muna natin si Patricia but you guys have to help me how to tell her.
Jerald: Paano if di siya maniniwala sayo? Knowing Patricia, she's crazy about that asshole.
Valeen: That's what I'm worrying kasi if I tell her she won't believe me unless na may ebidensya ako.
Jerald: Stalk mo kaya si Matthew sa Facebook, or the girl baka may photos silang dalawa ni Matthew.
Rico: Let Patricia find out na lang on her own kaya?
Sam: Gago talaga yun noh! Gusto ko talaga sapakin iyon ngayon eh!
Jerald: Ba't sobrang affected ka? Eh ikaw din naman diba, ganun ka naman?
Sam: I don't commit, Jerald so I can do whatever I want with girls. Si Matthew may girlfriend pero ang kapal ng mukha niya gawing kabit ang kaibigan natin! Tang ina! And besides kaya ko paglaruan ibang babae huwag lang mga kaibigan ko kasi papatay talaga ako ng tao.
Rico: Brad relax! High blood ka parang ikaw ang niloko eh.
Valeen: Guys, help me?!
Jerald: Kausapin mo lang si Patricia but gotta find an evidence talaga. Best friend ka ni Patricia so she will believe you.
Valeen: Pero I don't want history to repeat itself. Naalala mo nun nalaman ko bout don sa gagong ex niya na si John Michael? Ako nakapagsabe sa kanya diba? Pero what? She merely told me I was jealous kasi ikakasal na siya at ako wala pa rin boyfriend!
Jerald: Eh she found out naman after na you were saying the truth di ba? This time she will believe you na!
