"Woo! Movie night," Dan sat himself down on the sofa next to his boyfriend, Phil. "What should we watch?" Phil asked, kissing Dan's head, snuggling into his chest. "Hmm... I don't mind. You pick," Dan hummed, just happy to be spending some needed alone time with his lover.
They flipped through the movie channels and stuck one on, not really watching it. They had some quiet chats and dozed off at points, but it was just what they needed.
The film ended and they decided, since it was still rather early, that they would just watch whatever movie never came on that channel.
It was The Fault in Our Stars, one of Dan's favourite films. They watched it together and Phil cried at the end, like he always did. Dan held him tight and shooshed him, soothingly. Eventually Phil calmed down and Dan wiped his tears for him. Dan smiled, sweetly and Phil tried to smile back.
"Hey, Philly?" Dan whispered.
"Yes, Danny?" Phil whisper-chuckled back, his voice hoarse.
"Maybe meme will be our always..."
"Dan!" Phil laughed, playfully shoving him.
Dan laughed too, kissing Phil gently.
