Chapter 43 Part 1

Start from the beginning

“I can’t enjoy it without my cousin, who I haven’t talked to in a week. Will you at least tell me why you suddenly hate me now?” I asked quietly.

“Olivia, we don’t hate you, it’s just- look you’ll find out tomorrow. Just enjoy your birthday, and go downstairs and make out with Alex or whatever,” he muttered.

I couldn’t help but laugh a little, but then I closed the door and went downstairs.

“Hey! Awesome party Olivia!” someone said behind me. I turned around and saw Jacob. I raised an eyebrow at him.

“Who invited you?” I asked coldly. He put his hand on his chest and pretended to be hurt.

“I thought what we had was special,” he said and pouted at me. I chuckled and shook my head.

“So do you want to dance?” he asked.

“Sorry Jacob, I’m taken,” I explained.

“Ok but if he ever hurts you, just remember I’ll always be here for you,” he said and smirked at me before walking away.

I walked away too, into the living room. Parties are a lot harder when you’re the host. Everyone kept coming up to me and saying happy birthday and it gets annoying after a while.

I looked around the living room for someone that I actually knew. Seriously, who did the boys invite?!

“There you are!” a voice said behind me. I smiled and turned around to see Alex.

“There’s the birthday girl,” Rob said behind him, holding Chelsea’s hand.

I smiled at them and then realized that I had to go ask Eddie who he liked.

“Um have you guys seen Eddie?” I asked. Alex frowned.

“I thought you were gonna dance with me,” he said sadly. I smiled at him.

“Don’t worry I’ll come dance with you later. I just have to go find him,” I said and kissed his cheek before leaving to go find Eddie.

Man, this is tiring…

Eddie’s POV

I sat on the stairs drinking a cup of soda. I don’t know half the people in here and I couldn’t find Olivia, Georgia, or Leslie anywhere.

I’m so glad I got to hang out with boys today… it gets weird hanging with a bunch of girls all of the time.

I sighed and took another sip of my drink before I heard someone calling my name. I looked up and saw Olivia coming my way.

I smiled at her. She was so pretty. I don’t like her that way though… anymore.
