“I would run if I were you,” One of the cloaked person stepped out of the circle. And that’s exactly what I did.

Ugh… you know that cramp feeling that knots up your stomach when you run far too much for your own body to handle? That’s what I feel right now and I’m sure I haven’t progressed that far out. of this place.

            I made you my mate.

Mate? Why did he make me his mate? What the hell was going on? I slowed down and looked at my surroundings. Yep, nowhere near my house.

“BOO!” Leila jumped out from behind a tree.

I screamed, clamping my hand over my mouth. Shit, “You jerk! Why did you do that?”

She shrugged, “Where did you go? And why do you look like you got mauled by a bear?”

“Because of you, I got attacked my cannibals! This guy bit my shoulder!” I pointed to my shoulder, shuddering as I remembered the feeling of his teeth in me.

            Leila grinned, “Was he hot?”

“No! How can you think of hotness right now? I need to report this or something.” I started walking away and Leila caught up with me.

“Ew, that looks nasty.” She poked my shoulder and I winced, slapping her hand away.

            “Stop that,”

Leila suddenly stopped, head snapping back, “Holy shit.”

I stopped and turned around, “What_”

Staring at me with beady yellow eyes was a wolf. One hell of a big wolf. Its honey colored fur brushed slightly at the wind. I grabbed Leila’s hand, “Back up.”

It growled and suddenly morphed into a man. There wasn’t any creepy transformation thing like in the movie Wolfman. He just poof-ed into a man. And not any man, the one that bit my neck.

He stepped toward us, striding a silk black suit, buttons opened in the front. One hand was in his pocket, “Listen, I owe you big time. Thanks so much for letting me bite you.”

I raised an eyebrow, “I didn’t let you bite me, you attacked me!”

He gave me a small smile, “About that. It’s really a long story, mind if we talk it over with some hot chocolate?”
