Masky, Hoodie and Toby waited outside the large doors of Slenderman's office, waiting for his instructions to enter the room and get their new mission details.
Hoodie was leaned up against the wall that was adjacent to the door and Masky was pacing in front of the door, lost in thought. Toby however, was spending his time a little more... Entertained. He was leaning over the balcony that was attached to the grand staircase near Slenderman's office, staring, with wide eyes and a child's joy, at the first level floor that was quite a few yards below.
"Rogers!" Masky started to scold irritatedly after seeing Toby leaning over the edge. "For God's sake! Stop doing things that could hurt yourself!" Masky stopped pacing and crossed his arms.
Toby rolled his eyes and stepped away from the edge. He pushed his mouthguard down to his neck so it was easier for him to speak. "Oh please, the only reason you care if I hurt myself is because you're always the one who's gotta help me. You don't actually care about me, you only care for yourself." He muttered in response, his head ticking to the side slightly.
"I do admit that it's bothersome having to take care of someone like they're three... I mean, seriously? Try to be less reckless boy! I -"
"I'm not a boy! I'm almost your guy's age!!" Toby pouted, interrupting. He leaning up against the railing of the balcony, tapping his foot impatiently.
"You sure as hell don't act like it!" Masky retorted back, and at that moment Hoodie interrupted.
"Both of you, knock it off! It's almost time!"
"How do you kn-" Toby started, but was cut off by the large doors of Slender's office bursting open and Jeff running out of it. Toby stared after Jeff for a moment before a dark shadow moved in front of the door. The proxies turned to face their leader in unison, Hoodie and Toby standing up all the way and moving to stand in front of the doors.
Slender backed away from the doorway and motioned for them to enter before teleporting to sit in his chair. The three of them entered the room, Masky standing front and center, Hoodie standing behind him just a bit and Toby off to the side, staring at the antique paintings in the room.
"Boys," Slender started, propping his elbows on the desk and his narrow chin on his knuckles. "It's time for your next mission, as you know. However," Masky perked up at the 'however' and Toby glanced at Slenderman, only half paying attention. "Only Brian will be participating in this Mission. Tim, you and Tobias will stay here and go over the online files."
"What?!" Masky said, his tone surprised and shocked. "You can't... It's not fair! I mean..." He stuttered.
"Tim." Slender commanded his silence with the one word and immediately Masky obeyed. "I have ordered it. Take this computer and go with Tobias." Slender said, reaching into a drawer on his desk and pulling out a laptop. Holding it out, Masky took it, sending a murderous glare at Toby - who wasn't even paying attention.
"Rogers isn't gonna be any help! I mean, he's not even paying attention!" Masky complained, gesturing to Toby. "It's gonna take me forever to do all of these by myself!"
"Then I suggest you better get started." Slender said, and Masky sighed exasperatedly. He turned around and headed towards the door.
"ROGERS!" He barked, and Toby turned to face him. "Let's go!" Masky walked out of the room and Toby looked confused for a moment before trotting after him.
"Where are we going? What about Hoodie!" Toby said, catching up to the grumpy Masky. "Hey Masky! Wha-"
"Rogers, shut up! If you ever paid attention you would know these things!" Masky snapped, glaring at Toby, his brow furrowed and his jaw set hard. Toby looked down at the floor while they walked, not saying another word. He tapped his fingers against his thigh mindlessly, his eyes wandering over details of the hallway, trying not to say anything else or annoy Masky.

FanfictionNot only are these two proxies struggling with their sexualities - they also struggle with alcohol and the ever present judgement from their peers and Slender. Honestly, I saw a fanart online and I really wanted to write a scene in a fanfic about it...
