"Where's Bailey?" Patty cried out.

"Oh my gosh, we're gonna die. We're gonna die." Brandi started to cry.

"Joslyn?" Lydia wailed.

"Brandi, we're not gonna die!! Let the current take you out. We will get to the shore soon." Joelle whimpered.

Secretly, Joelle has never been in rough waves like these, and has only been stuck in a riptide once. She was falling apart inside, but had to say strong. She needed to find Joslyn. She needed to save her friends. Out in the distance she heard a faint scream.

"Did you guys hear that?" Lydia yelped.

"I did..." Bailey said, frozen.

"I heard it to." Patty shivered.

"Me too." Brandi and Joelle said at the same time.

"It sounded like..." Lydia said.

"Joslyn." All 5 of them said at the same time.

It was quiet, and all you could hear were the rapid waves and the seagulls flying over heads. The girls stood there, listening for another scream or sign. Nothing. A few silent seconds passed, and you could hear Brandi cry.

"Shh, it's okay B. We'll find her." Patty tried to calm Brandi down.

The waves were slowing down, and it became a little less hectic. It made it easier to hear their surroundings.

All of a sudden, another scream pierced the air, and brought tears to all the girl's eyes. It was Joslyn.

"Joslyn?" Lydia yelled.

"Joslyn? Are you okay?" Bailey screamed.

"Where are you? Joslyn? It's us!" Brandi cried.

The 5 girls swam as fast as they could to where they thought the scream was.

"Joslyn where are you?" Joelle shouted, out of breath.

No response.

"Joslyn?" Patty screamed as loud as she could.

No response.

Brandi started to cry again and the girls were thinking about giving up.

"We're never going to find her. She's probably dead." Joelle thought to herself.

She was silently crying. They were helpless.

"There's no point. She's gone. Let's go back to shore before the waves act up again." Joelle sighed.

It was the worst feeling in the world and the other girls cried.

"JOSLY-" Brandi shouted one last time.

"Brandi, there's no use. Let's go." Patty held her hand.

All 5 girls swam to the shore, crying as they went.

"AHHHHH!!!!!!" Bailey screamed.

"WHAT? WHAT IS IT??" Joelle gasped, concerned.

"WHAT HAPPENED? BAILEY? ARE YOU OKAY?" Lydia jumped towards her.

"It's... It's... the strap... from her... Joslyn's... bathing suit top." Bailey choked out.

The girls screamed in terror. They couldn't believe their eyes. There it was, the mint green and neon pink flower print strap.

"She was... here!" Lydia gasped.

"JOSLYN!!!!" Patty shouted.

"On 3 we all have to scream her name." Joelle insisted.

"1, 2, 3." Joelle said.

"JOOSSLLYYYNNN!!!" They all screamed at once.

They then heard the familiar voice. It was once again Joslyn's scream. But this time it was much closer.
They all turned around and saw Joslyn only a few yards away.

"Joslyn!" They all screamed in relief. As they reached Joslyn, she was crying.

"Guys, I'll explain later. But we need to get to the shore." Joslyn whimpered.

The girls have never seen Joslyn cry, and it was depressing to see her do so. She seemed more than just sad. They all finally reached the shore after 10 minutes. They ran to their spot and grabbed their towels. They were all shocked thar they were still alive.

"No talking yet, let's lay our towels down and tan. I'll tell you the story then." Joslyn said.

The suspense was killing them, and they wanted to scream. Did Joslyn know how worried they were? They risked their lives for her, the least she could do was explain everything now.

"Okay, here we go." Joslyn was still crying. What was up?
