"Harley! let's go! Our plane is going to leave soon!" I yell up the stairs of our ratty apartment. Harley and I live in Chicago, but his best friend, Braden, wants him as his new Beta, since his last one died of a rouge attack. I haven't seen Braden in 9 years, and he is like an older brother to me. I mean, I did have a crush on him, but then I realized it was never going to happen, so I moved on. It was hard, I'm going to admit that, but I still missed him.

Harley has visited him a few times, but I couldn't, because it's my senior year of high school, and Harley doesn't want me to miss "amazing opportunities".  Right now, since I graduated, we are moving in to his pack house, on the other side of the city. Our pack has separated into different packs, since my parents, Alpha and Luna, died from a rouge attack.

"I'm coming, I'm coming, just calm down." Harley yells, as he is coming down the stairs with suitcases in hand. He hands me a small blue one and a bigger black one. I look at him with a confused face. "The big one is my clothes, second one is my shoes and other stuff." He answers. He scans the ground crowded with all my bags. He quirks his eyebrow.  "For a guy, you have a lot more than what "normal" guys would have." I grin at him. "Shut up sis!, you have four bags with you!" He exclaims, pointing to make his point. I roll my eyes.  "Well yea, because I'm a girl." I say smirking at him. He thinks he can win at this game. I roll my eyes and get into the car to the airport.

A broken phone, lost Harley and very long trip later and we made it out of the airport alive. We are just waiting for Braden to pick us up, even though I have a bad gut feeling about him whenever I think of him. While we were waiting, I was checking my phone when Harley piped up.

"Braden has a driver coming to get us anytime now." He says, looking up to me from his phone. Just as he says this, a black SUV pulls up and a guy in an all black suit comes up to Harley. "Lincoln! Nice to see you buddy!" He shakes the stranger's hand, who I now know is Lincoln. "This is my little sister, Kayla." I do a small wave, while he nods his head. Harley and Lincoln start putting the bags in the trunk while I hop in the back and plug in my earphones.

It is about a 25 minute drive until the pack house. I soon later found out that Lincoln took a short cut, otherwise the trip would've been 30-45 minutes. Soon we come upon a great, big white house. He pulls up in the U shaped driveway, and another guy in a black suit is standing there waiting for us.

He comes up to us and holds the door open for my brother and then me. Harley gets out first, and then I do. Lincoln and the other guy start getting the bags out of the car, meanwhile I stare at the huge mansion, which is a pristine white with a wrap around porch, a bench swing and hammock on the porch, and a nice big red barn behind it with little houses surrounding the area and in the woods. I'm in love.

Suddenly, the front door opens, and this tall, lean, and well built guy comes out, but also with a scent. The scent smells like woods. I look him up and down, and gasp as I recognize who he is. He looks over and his eyes widen at the sight of me. I don't blame him. It's been a few years. I look him up and down, and he is wearing a sky-blue v-neck, which hugs his body, regular jeans, with his casual brownish/blackish hair in a bed head kind of way and his familiar brown eyes. He smirks when he catches me checking him out. He walks up to Harley, and they do some type of man hug and when they're done, he turns to me and I feel his eyes look me up and down my 5'6 frame. He definitely grew up. I haven't seen him in 9 years for crying out loud!

His brown eyes meet my hazel ones, and then a jolt goes through my body and my wolf, Mia, is screaming loudly, I cover my ears and cower to the ground. Harley and Braden are trying to calm me down, but the noise in my head is pounding, like I'm trying to cooperate with a really bad hangover. Mia is constantly chanting 'mate mate MATE!'  'Will you shut up?' I say back at her.
