"Nobody sees, Nobody knows." ~ Zara
Head down, face covered. That ladies and gentleman is how you survive high school. I walked through the busy hallway swiftly. If you walk through the hallway as many times as I had you'd be sure you wouldn't run into anyone.
Darting into class I quickly found my seat. By the time the bell rang I had completed the Warm-up and started on the notes already written on the board. The door to the classroom opened, but I had no interest in looking up.
I WILL conquer you Flappy Bird!!! 1, 2, 3, FUCK!!! This shits harder than figuring out LeBron's magical hair growth. I always play on my phone when I finish work early.
I was at 23 when something smacked my desk. I jumped and hit my knee under the table. FUCKKK!!! Jesus is that you?
I glared up to see the teacher with her hand out demanding my phone. You can have my soul, not this phone though! I thought, but of course I obediently handed her the phone.
I can't afford to get in trouble because my life would seriously be on the line. "Now as I was saying Miss Breland, we have a group of transfer students who just joined the school today. Three of which are in our class. Allow me to introduce Jacob Stone, Remy Stone, and Miriam Stone."
Cheese and Rice! If there is a man above he put in work, work, work, work, work, with these three Greek gods and goddess in front me. I shook my thoughts away as Jacob started introducing himself.
"Uhm, you obviously know my name, We all come from an adoptive family from Bolivia. Our dad is a physiologists and our mom is a doctor. Yeah." He looked down and frowned. I could tell he was cursing himself in his head.
Don't we all? I looked down at my desk. I looked up to see all three of them giving me an intense stare. I shifted uncomfortably in my chair. Do I have something on my face? Oh god, is the makeup rubbing off? I put my head down to avoid further eye contact.
I hate being stared at more than I hate my step dad and that's saying a lot. I missed the rest of the introductions because my mind had wandered somewhere else. Meaning I had missed the part where the teacher sat Remy next to me.
He smells good. I wonder if I can casually sniff him? I leaned sideways just a bit and sniffed. It was amazing.
-------
Class ended and I can say I cleverly smelled Remy the whole period. His smell was mouth watering. I smiled as I made it to my last class of the day. Well technically this wasn't a class, this was a club.
Photography; a safe haven in this hell hole. When I had the camera in my hands my worries went away. A new person emerged, but she could be easily crushed. I enjoyed the way people's faces lit up after seeing their photos.
I was a nobody at this school, but at the same time I wasn't. I had a purpose. My photography skills are why i'm known. My name in the school is 'Camera Girl'. No one spoke to me unless it would benefit them. I was a quiet freak who acted weird.
I had enemies and I wasn't afraid to stand up for myself but I couldn't. A fight on my record could mean death from my parents.
I was so deep in thought I hadn't realized I was standing in the doorway. "Are you going to enter Kehlani?" Mr. Marten questioned not looking up from his paperwork. Nodding my head I walked to my area and pulled my camera from its casing.
"What's on today's agenda Sr.?" I shifted through some film. "Take this list and go to C-4, I.D. pictures for those new kids." I smiled receiving the list and grabbing my supplies.
