Hello, this is my first fanfic so please don't be harsh. Please give any suggest or critism for future chapter. The picture above is how Audrey looks like. Now onto the story!
Chapter 1
Audrey's POV
My name is Audrey. I don't have a surname nor do I remember having one. My master, Miss Misaki, found me five years ago when I was still fifteen. Living in a dark and humid tunnel. She was six that time, and like me, she also an orphan. She was cold, yes. But I guess that's how some people do when they lost their precious one. People change someday.
She gave me shelter and enough food. The workers were kind enough and always accompany me. They made my day and I felt really thankful to them. Especially to Miss Misaki. I decided to dedicated my life as her maid, as the sign of my thankfulness.
That's how my life as a maid of Yakano household began...

I cleaned Miss Misaki's office room like I always do every morning. While she herself was working. I did not know whether it was a good idea letting an eleven years old girl working and running a company. But she said she was fine with it.
She was looking at her papers when suddenly she called me, "Audrey?"
I snapped my head towards her, pausing my work momentarily. "Yes, Miss Misaki?" I responded, wiping the sweat that was running down in my forehead with my sleeve.
"Tell Johnson to prepare the carriage. We are going to pay a visit to the Phantomhive manor," she said without breaking her gaze from the papers.
I curtseyed, "Certainly, Miss Misaki." I put the rag on the bucket before left the office, looking for Johnson. But her voice stopped me, "And you are going with me."
I gave a curt nod and headed outside. I decided to look in the kitchen first and put away the things on my hand. "Have you seen Johnson, Mary?" I asked the female chef.
Mary shook her head, "No, I haven't. He is probably in the garden," she replied, reading a recipe book.
I let out a barely audible sigh and left. I looked through the large sized window and found a bald man standing in the middle of bushes. I smiled a little and dashed off. "Mr. Johnson!" I shouted.
Mr. Johnson was an American man. He had brown skin and messy black hair with matching black eyes. He always clad in butler uniform and a fresh red rose sticking out from his pocket. He was ten years older than me, and was one of few people other than Miss Misaki I respected.
The said man spun around, furrowing his eyebrows. "Yes, Audrey?" he asked.
"Miss Misaki wants you to prepare the carriage. She said she is going to visit the Phantomhive manor." I noticed him went stiff for a moment, before nodding.
"I will prepare it shortly," he bowed, his right hand on his chest. Not knowing what to do, I decided to follow him. I jogged beside him, panting a little. He raised an eyebrow and I merely smiled. He shook his head, his black eyes held an amused look.
I wanted to ask him why he was so stiff when I said that Miss Misaki is going to visit the Phantomhive manor but I thought it's best for me to stay silent.
"Is there anything you'd like to say, Audrey?" he asked, as if reading my mind.
I snapped out of my trance and grinned nervously. "Uh... not really. But I'd like to ask you, why were you so stiff when I asked you about Miss Misaki going to the Phantomhive manor?"
He was silent a moment and I almost smacked myself for being an idiot in front of him when he finally spoke, "I once visited them along with Lord Takahashi and Lady Mio, Miss Misaki's parents. The owner is a boy named Ciel Phantomhive. He had a butler, which is very... odd. I am not mocking him but that's what I felt about him. He sometimes appeared out of nowhere even though I knew that he was not supposed to be there and not even in the same room with us. He also had a queer eyes which is red and was abnormally attractive. Everything about him makes me feel... uncomfortable. So, when I heard that Miss Misaki is going to visit them, I have this disturbing feeling that I do not know whether it's good or not." He then sighed, "I just hope it's good..." he murmured.
I merely nodded throughout the story. I did not know that a man could make him feel this uncomfortable. This man must be scary.
***
I stared at the fallen golden leaves on the ground. This month had reached the fall season, which means sunny and probably not rainy until a few months later. But I always bring my umbrella in case the rain pour down suddenly. Miss Misaki was very easy to sick.
I was so engrossed in thought until I had not realize that Miss Misaki has got down and was waiting for me until a gloved hand appeared before me. I reeled back and blinked at the sudden hand, and slowly looked at the owner. It belonged to a man with black hair with a pair of peculiar red eyes. Somehow, that eye color felt familiar. Where do I seen it from?
I hesitantly put my hand on his, and jumped out from the carriage. Surprisingly, his hand felt warm against my skin. I quickly pulled out my hand rather harshly and smiled apologetically at my 'slightly' rude behavior. There was something off about this man. From his queer eyes, those eyes that seemed bore straight into my soul.
There was a boy around Miss Misaki's age with dark blue hair and blue eye. An eyepatch covering the another one. I wonder what happened to it...
