The prologue was a bit weird to me.It didn't start with a main character.It didn't start with a Shadowhunter,just a person with the Sight-Kit.

The prologue doesn't explain the Shadowhunter world as well as the other books. It expects the reader to have read at least one of the other books before reading Lady Midnight.

It did introduce Emma and Cameron, but to me they came in too late into the prologue.

The Shadowhunters were not fighting in the prologue either which was different to TID.They came in like mundanes nearly, looking for something to buy.

I did like the Jem and Tessa reference on page four, but to me the prologue was not as captivating to me as the one in Clockwork Angel.

Yes I prefer TID to TMI,so most of my comparison will be to TID rather than TMI.

I have read TMI as well as TID and the Bane Chronicles.
