CH 12- Broken Promise

Antonio froze for a while as Francis said that. The situation got more awkward than before. All of you stayed in silence as Francis groggily murmured under his breath.

""Aww, too bad bastard, I think I've grown a crush on ___. Can't she be my girlfriend?". Lovi said jokingly, you playfully hit his arm and giggled.

Both you and Antonio knew Lovi was just kidding, but somehow, Fancis was not in the mood to hear his joke.

Francis then stood up from his seat and coldly said to Lovi,

""If you dared to hit on ___, I wouldn't consider you as my friend and gladly punch you on the face"". He then left.

You took this as a signal to follow him.

"Treats on Lovi", you said cheerfully as you took your stuffs and hurriedly ran out of the café, following Francis.

Antonio then also ran out from the cafe, leaving Lovi dumbfounded with all of the unpaid food in front of him.

*Present*

Francis' thought got interrupted as he heard a heavy sigh next to him. He turned his head to found you frowning at your phone, which he found cute.

""What happened ___?""he asked as he approached you to take a look at your phone.

""Toni extends his trip for another week. Huh, just keep leaving me alone here Francis", you said, complaining to Francis as if he were Antonio.

Francis smiled at your childish act and ruffled your hair again.

'"I'll be coming here everyday to accompany you. Don't worry you won't be alone"

You smiled to your favorite friend as you put your head on his shoulder.

""Thank you for being beside me all the time""

Francis wrapped his arm around you as he ruffled your hair again. He then went back to his thought as you comfortably laid on his shoulder.

*Flashback*

""Francis! Wait up!", you said as you tried to catch up with him. He stopped walking and finally you reached his place. You breathed heavily and tried to get your normal breath back.

""You walk too fast" you said between your heavy breaths.

Francis' cold expression got softened as he saw you were drowning in perspiration. He took out his handkerchief and wiped your sweaty forehead. As you got your normal breath, you looked up to his face and said, ""Thanks"." You then took his handkerchief to wipe your sweat yourself.

He just smiled.

""Make sure you've washed it before returning it" he said as he started to walk away from you, continuing his aimless walking.

""Yah that's not sweet at all", you said as you walked towards him.

You matched his pace and pouted next to him. Francis chuckled and ruffled your hair lovingly. You smiled, thinking it was a good time to talk to him.

""Where are we going Francis?":", you asked after 10 minutes of aimless walking.

"Nowhere, just walking around. If you wanna go home, I'll walk you home", he said as he put his arm around your shoulder.

"Although I prefer you are here, accompanying me walking"

"I'll go home later then", you said sweetly.

"By the way, what happened actually?"

"I broke up, as usual", he said lightly, as if it wasn't a serious problem.
