I'm so glad to finally finish a story, it feels amazing.

But if you didn't understand this story,

Basically, Ellie wrote down how she felt about Simon; the italics are what she wrote down in a diary. She absolutely hated him, and wrote down all the things she hated. At the end, however, she falls for him, and goes back to cross out the word "hate" for "love".
