It was a cold winters day, everything around covered in frost. It seems as if the nature is being slowly suffocated coated by the white bringer of death slowly sapping natures life away. Every tree withered, lifeless it swayed with the bitter wind. It was humming a song of the ones who wouldn't give life a second chance, and here is where this story starts.
Quinn shook himself awake from a nightmare covered in sweat and filled with fear, looking around he proceeded to sit up and wipe the perspiration off his face cupping it into his cold hands. Turning to look at the time he mumbled to himself "4am, fair enough best start getting ready for hell". He chuckled slightly and got up to reach for his phone, on his phone he noticed plenty of messages, a few of them from his friends, a few of them of strangers which contained nasty remarks. He would do what he normally does which is ignore them all as he never liked speaking to anyone in any other way rather than in person if it was possible. He clutched his phone as he ignored every mean comment he has been sent with tears brimming in his eyes, he put on some music. Locking his phone and taking a deep breath he proceeded to go downstairs and get ready for college. Walking into the bathroom with the music turned up at its loudest he looked in the mirror and stared examining his face. He ran his fingers through his short raven black hair moving it out of the way, his reflected green eyes staring back at him with fear. Without breaking the eye contact with himself he turned the tap on and cupped the water into his pale hands, only to lose the eye contact as he leaned over and splashed his face. Looking up again onto his reflection as if hoping it would change the way he looks and feels about himself he does it again with the only effect being his face becoming a bit redder. He turned around and reaches for a towel to wipe his face sighing deeply. He slowly grabbed the brush out of the shelf in the bathroom and brushed down the messy hair. Having gotten ready Quinn would throw off his sleeping clothes and put his black shirt and black skinny jeans on and sit there listening to music taking some time to reply to the messages of his friends he earlier ignored.
It has just gone half past eight as Quinn realised he needs to be in college in twenty minutes, without hesitation he grabbed his bag, put on some shoes and headed out. When he got to college his eyes were instantly drawn to a new face, without showing signs of interest he would ask his friends who the new person was, they would all give him a similar reply "I don't know". Quinn looked at the new boy and examined his appearance. He was a six foot tall athletic looking guy with black hair styled with hair gel, he was wearing a top which had white printed writing on it which he couldn't make out from a distance and black skinny jeans that were ripped at he knees. Quinn thought to himself "Not bad" and laughed. Shortly after the bell sounded telling Quinn he needs to head to class, Quinn said bye to all his friends and headed for his first lesson. Quinn dreaded every single lesson as there would always be some sort of argument going on due to a lot of recent confusions, he would occasionally raise his voice to try and stop the arguments as he would grow sick and tired of them over a longer period. This made Quinn known for being "aggressive" and blunt towards everyone including the teachers, to no surprise when the class learnt that the new boy was sat in his favourite place which was at the back left corner of the room they were preparing themselves for an argument. Since Quinn was the only boy in the class all the girls knew his name and would greet him when he walked into the class. However this time when Quinn walked in he didn't get any greetings, he knew something wasn't right. Immediately he turned to look at his seat where he saw the new boy sat talking to the girl next to him, the girl noticing Quinn glaring at them she stopped talking to him and turned to face the front. The new boy confused by the girls behaviour looked to see what she was looking at only to notice Quinn staring at him. He smiled and waved at Quinn unsuspecting of what is about to happen. Quinn slowly walked towards his seat pacing his steps trying to contain himself, he approached the boy and smiled "You're in my seat" he said softly looking directly into his ocean blue eyes. The boy replied "Oh sorry, maybe you can sit on my lap so you can see the board?" He replied cleverly. The full class laughed as he was the shortest out of the full class standing at only 5'4 although Quinn didn't react as he seemed to be lost in the boys eyes. Shaking his head he replied "If I was to sit on your lap you'd get too excited, now move." He grinned . Having said so the boy got up and stood in front of the class confused as to where to sit, all the girls seemed to like him and wanted him to sit next to them. When the teacher came in she looked around the class and said "This is Ethan our new student.". The teacher scanned the room a but more and said "Right Ethan sit next to Quinn, I'm sure you guys will prefer to be sat next to each other since you're the only ones, and Jade wouldn't mind moving would you?" Jade shook her head and moved over to another place letting Ethan sit next to Quinn. At first Quinn didn't like this idea, however as the lesson progressed the two boys began talking more and more slowly getting to know each other.
After each lesson Ethan would follow Quinn as he had no idea where he was going, this annoyed Quinn as he didn't like people following him at all. This lead to Quinn introducing him to his friends and Ethan joining their friendship group, Quinn didn't mind as it meant he had other people that he could follow around and not just stick to him. During his last lesson Quinn stormed into the class and sat in his seat placing his hands on the table Ethan saw his knuckles were covered in blood. He then asked Quinn if he was alright and Quinn just ignored his question, Ethan without hesitation grabbed his hand and pulled him into a hug, the full class went silent and then bursted out in an echoing "Aww" having done so Quinn was now in Ethan's arms feeling a bit more comforted, inside his head he was daring himself whether he should tell Ethan what was going on. Was it a good idea? Eventually Quinn bursted into tears and told Ethan everything that was going on in his life and Ethan listened carefully. Quinn had realised he made a new best friend.
