Calvine-System: Pathos Key

CALVINE-SYSTEM Book One: Pathos Key(I,II,III)

Chapter I
The year 2232 Dakota was born. Dakota Adams was born in the suburbs of the capital city of Norval on the planet Calvine-251A, 115th discovered planet. Calvine was similar to Earth in many ways, the only difference between the two was that Calvine-251A is made up of mostly continental crust, 75% to be precise and it is 3x the size of Earth. The planet is gorgeous, it is being orbited by 4 moons, so the Planetary government formed a pretty big militia force to be stationed on all four moons. 32.6 light years from Earth. Earth is 4.759 billion years old. Calvine-251A is only 1.323 billion years old. The first settlers who first inhabited the planet was led by Peter Mitchell in 2151.

    Before Dakota was born, his mother Kethlynn died at giving birth to Dakota from unknown causes. As far as his father goes he couldn't stay cause the pain was unbearable. He went missing and have been presumed dead. So Dakota was being cared for by his father's friend, Valfor. He has been friends with Dakota's father since they were in high school.  So he is like family. Valfor was like another father figure to Dakota. And they have had many father and son moments, like how to handle a rifle, how to cook, how to deal with bullies at school and so on. During school Dakota never fought anybody. There would be sometimes where a bully would pick on him, but he never fought them.                                                                                                                             

               Whenever a bully pick on him he'd just stand there taking the hits, and not respond to any of the bully's commands. At this moment of time Dakota was just this typical young boy in high school. Most of Dakota's high school years were spent being alone cause he has never really connected with anybody. There's one girl named Caitlin, who would try her very best to be his friend, most likely because she felt bad for the guy. It may seem like she liked him, but she really just wanted to be his friend. Even if  she did like him he wouldn't really talk to her anyway. Cause he didn't really know how to connect with anybody, partly because he didn't want to. But no matter what, she still tries talking to him.

        During Valfor's younger years, he was a Sgt. for the Calvine Militia 254. He told Dakota many stories of him being deployed to one of Calvine's moons, the one he was deployed to was called Velo-05, he also told Dakota  how he went on Velo-05's station 01, and did military exercises. His job there was a security officer. He said there was one time were his shift was over so he went and stand outside and just look at the nearby planets, like Calvine-251B, Calvine-251C. The next night he decided to do the same thing again, but this time this night wasn't anything like any other. He went outside to look at the planets again, cause he just loves to look at them, cause they look spectacular the first time, he just couldn't resist going back to see them again.

Chapter II

    Once Valfor went out onto the platform that he likes to do after his shift, he stared up at the view of the planets. The planets in the Calvine-System are within range of view if your on one of Calvine-251A's moons. As Valfor looked up at them he began to see this  shadowy shape going over the moon's view of Calvine-251C planet. He told himself that it was just his  vivid of imagination. But as the night went on he kept on feeling this chill going down his back, and he kept feeling like he was being watched
by somebody, or something. As he told Dakota this, Dakota had a look on his face, as if Valfor was crazy. Dakota didn't say it but Valfor knew that he was thinking it. But he continues the story.

             
                   When Valfor was on his shift he saw a tall, muscular/slender black body figure moving in the distance, out away from the lighting of the station, the way Valfor saw it was that the shadowy figure was just on the outskirt of the light's range of view. He saw a gold, yellowish eyes just fixated on him, every time when Valfor moves, the eyes moves with him and Valfor is wondering How the hell is his mind imagine such a thing. After a good long hour; which is pretty much Valfor's entire shift; the yellow eyed figure disappeared without a trace. That morning the patrol group that was patrolling, went over to that area, and made a report, stating that they found footprints with unknown origin.             

             Valfor and his battle buddy talked about it the whole time they were in their barracks. The entirety of the station didn't know what to think  about the report, and the findings of that patrol group found. The Calvine  Velo moon station 04's patrol groups are consisted of 4 to 6 security officers. The station it self was just mainly consisted of the Calvine Militia's 201st Security division. The rest of the time Valfor's deployment there was really just normal. But still he began not liking it there so he couldn't wait to get back home.(2 to 3 weeks later) Soon he got home he was real happy for that. For some reason, ever since he saw that yellow eyed figure, he hasn't been himself.

         Valfor sensed that Dakota was thinking that he was crazy. So he said nothing more about it. So Valfor decided to change the subject;"so how's school" he asked."Typical" Dakota replied. When Dakota went to school, and as usual Caitlin was waiting. "Hi there" said Caitlin. This time she wasn't expecting an answer so she just kept on walking along side Dakota. Once she looked away, Dakota
made a smirk, and kept on walking.

Chapter III
     Caitlin wasn't expecting an answer back from Dakota so she just kept on walking along side of him heading to the Mess Hall. As usual Tamiran was picking on Dakota, because Dakota never speaks."Hey freak'a'zoid".Said Tamiran.No response from Dakota."HEY, creep, answer the first time a call you".Still no response from Dakota.Tamiran didn't like that, not one bit. So he grabbed Dakota by the left shoulder spun him around, grabbed him by the collar."Hey freak, why didn't you answered when I called your name?",Dakota looked straight into his eyes and didn't say a word."What's the matter Dakota, cat got your tongue?. Still no response from Dakota.

     Tamiran than shoves him, hoping that Dakota would fall to the ground. But Dakota didn't, everybody was watching as the two looked straight into each other's eyes.Dakota still isn't giving Tamiran a response."Your in for it now, boy". Still no response from Dakota. A few minutes after they locked eyes, a big crowd began to form a circle around the two.

    Tamiran was seconds away from right crossing Dakota. Dakota began to form fists, then tightens them. But than as both of them were about to swing, Caitlin jumped in between the two. She held her arms out in between the two."BACK off, you jerk".Said Caitlin."Oh, so you let your girlfriend fight your battles for huh".Tamiran response.
"Your a jerk".Said Caitlin.Tamiran made a smirk."Come on, let's go, we don't need to hear this".Said Caitlin.Dakota & Caitlin walks away.

      Tamiran was lucky that Caitlin jumped in like she did because Dakota would've right cross him, and would've broke Tamiran's nose on contact."Your lucky I got in between you guys like I did, cause you would've got in big trouble. I better stay with you for the rest of the day and keep you out of trouble". Caitlin and Dakota started walking to next class. As Caitlin looked away, Dakota glanced over and started smirking at her and continued walking.
