Molly sat there on her bed feeling shocked. After all, this couldn’t possibly be real could it? Maybe one of the other children at the orphanage was pulling a prank on her. But, no, they wouldn’t, they couldn’t actually, most of them didn’t know how to write and she knew that none of them would have the sense of humor to even come up with all of this. She flipped the parchment over to read a personal message written in the same curly handwriting.

Also, Miss Molly, I  am sending someone to come pick you up so you can collect your things required for school. His name is Hagrid, he will be there sometime tomorrow.

She sat there confused, yet strangely excited. This had to be real, it explained all the things she had been able to do. It explained everything that other people thought was wrong with her. She grinned widely thinking of the new life ahead of her.

-The Next Day at around 3:00 P.M.-

Molly fidgeted impatiently staring at the clock, when she heard  Madame Pulido yelling at her to come downstairs immediately. She started and wacked her elbow on the wall making it go numb. She grumbled and walked downstairs wondering if this mysterious Hagrid was here to pick her up.

Madame Pulido was sitting at her desk her lips pursed, her foot tapping nervously when Molly arrived in the entrance hall. Molly gasped with shock when she saw the man standing near the door. He had a wild, scraggly brown beard and a head of hair that was just as untamable. He was a giant of a man, in fact he was startlingly huge. His eyes, although black, twinkled with merriment and Molly was sure a smile was hidden under the beard. “Ello there, an’ you must be Molly, am I righ?” He spoke with a gruff, but kind voice.

“Yes, sir, I’m Molly.” The man grinned widely introducing himself as the man her letter had mentioned on the back: Hagrid.

“Well, go an’ get yer things Molly, we’ll be leavin’ now.”

She nodded grinning and left the room at a fast walk. Molly broke into a run and raced to her room. She hurriedly packed all her things, which wasn’t much, and began to hall her trunk downstairs to where Hagrid was waiting for her.

“All set, Molly?” Hagrid asked with a kind voice. She nodded mutely and Hagrid led her out of the building. Hagrid couldn’t help but watch the young girl walking excitedly next to him. She seemed so full of life and kept asking questions. Of course he answered them as best as he could, but He felt as though this young girl were very familiar. Her face held some resemblance to someone he knew, he just couldn’t pin it.

Molly stopped questioning Hagrid sensing his mind was elsewhere. Suddenly, another question occurred to her and she couldn’t help but ask. “Hagrid, sir, where exactly are we going?”

“Well, Diagon Alley o’ course. Where else do ya think yer gonna get yer school supplies?”

“Diagon Alley?” she sounded extremely confused, “where’s Diagon Alley, Hagrid?

“Well, it’s righ’ here in London. We have to go through the Leaky Cauldron o’ course, and only witches an wizards can see the pub.” Hagrid spoke to Molly, who was astonished and fascinated with the information she was receiving.
