First things first, I'm tall. You might wonder what that has to do with anything, but it's probably the reason why I'm a secret agent. Or the reason why I'm halfway strangling this attacker at the moment. I pull all my strength into choking the hefty man under me, and finish, within seconds. His once violent body is pale on the floor. Now I had to move. Time was running out and I still have to complete my mission.
"Let's move. " calls my partner, Ally, her brown hair swinging with every step. I roll my eyes. I hate her. She stole him from me.
We move towards the stair well in unison. On the next level of this building was a crucial piece of equipment that if found in the wrong hands, would impact society majorly. The thing was, I didn't even know what it looked like. HQ said I didn't have the "right clearance".
That was always their excuse though. "You're to young to know the details." Is literally the words I hear everyday. Finally the stairs come to a stop and the top level of this building gapes in front of us.
"Linds. Let's move. We don't have time." Ally whispers. A figure steps out of the shadows.
"You're definitely right. Time is not on your side." Without delay the figure lunges at Ally's stomach and wraps his bulky hand around.
"I see you've sabotaged my building. And you're probably on your way to steal my property. You two are being bad women. Last time I checked it was illegal to break in to places. " the man purrs. Ally's face doesn't show any emotion. It was part of our training; in the face of death we couldn't show the slightest tinge of pain, worry, or fear.
I inch my hand into my back skirt pocket (I was dressed as a secretary, blouse and all.)
The man grunts.
"If you do so much as grab your gun, I'll stun the woman to ashes. I'd think wisely if I were you." He thinks I care about her life. How nice. I continue to slip my hand in to my pocket, when I see a flash of light and a screen replace Ally and the man. In a hurry I whip out my gun and shoot. The flash fades and I find Ally on the ground, dead.
