Strong language in this chapter.

-Topangas POV-

"What is your problem Lucas!? Why are you so moody?!" Maya snaps at Lucas as I watch from the kitchen.

Corey's taken Auggie to 'It's Mr Googly! Live.' In Virginia this week so it's just me and Riley in the house. Maya's been coming over for the past few days with Lucas and they've been constantly arguing. Most of the time it's been little things that end in five minutes, but today's different. They've been arguing for about 20 minutes and they show no sign of stopping.

"My problem?! Your always making fun of me! But I say one thing and you loose your temper!" He shouts back.

"Me? I lost my temper!? What about back in Texas? Who lost their temper then?!" She shouts as he clenches his fists at his side.

Riley didn't mention much about their trip to Texas last year. All I know is that something happened between Lucas and Maya and I'm not sure if it was good or bad.

"I hardly lost my temper! In fact you did!" He snaps back.

"Are you gonna stop this?" I ask Riley who's reading a book at the kitchen table.

"No, they'll sort it out. They always do." She says not taking her eyes off her book.

"I don't think they will." I say growing concerned. This didn't look like it was gonna be resolved anytime soon.

"When did I then Huckleberry? Tell me when!" She snaps.

"What about with Tombstone?!" He shouts.

"Tombstone! You know why I was angry and why I ran off!" She shouts moving slightly closer to him.

"No I don't! Maybe you should remind me?" Lucas says smirking.

"Oh you know why you twat!" She snaps.

"No, I don't think I do. You were too busy ignoring me to let me know." Lucas says in a cocky tone.

"You know why I was like that! You knew what was going on!" She snaps back.

I wish I knew, it would help me figure out what their going on about.

"Oh yeah I remember! You were making fun of me for no reason and were obsessing over Josh!" He shouts.

"You take that back!" She snaps moving dangerously close to him.

"No! Don't worry, he won't mind! Just go cry to him! I'm sure he'll listen to you, since I'm such a bad boyfriend!" Lucas snaps.

Slap!

That's when her hand collides with his face. His head jerks to the side slightly, his fists loosen and he stares at her in shock.

"Fuck you Lucas." She says almost in a whisper. She turns on her heel and stalks down the hall on the way to Riley's room.

He stands there only clenching his fists for about a minute before storming out into the hall after Maya.

He wouldn't hurt her would he? I've heard about Lucas' past from Cory and Riley, but I thought he changed. And with Maya's fiery personality, who knows how this could end.

After a few seconds I hear a whimper like sound from the hall. In my mind I'm seeing a bruised Maya on the floor with Lucas hovering over her, waiting to deliver the next blow.

I look over at Riley but she's to busy reading her book to notice. Her friend could be hurt for Christ's sake! Maya may not be my daughter but she's as good as.

I stand up and run over to the hall and I'm shocked at what I see. Maya's not on the floor covered in bruises. Lucas isn't punching her, in fact he's doing the opposite.

He's pressed Maya between the wall and his body and is kissing her.  His arms have a tight grip on his waist, her arms are around his neck and there is no space between them. Their like a giant human sandwich.

I've seen them kiss before and this is different. It's not slow and compassionate like usual.

No this is different.

It's like a fight. They've both got two sides. A friendly side and a angry side. And I'm not seeing their friendly sides.

It's definitely a fight and by the looks of it, Maya's loosing.

As Lucas pulls away, I hide where they can't see me and continue to watch out of curiosity. How can they possibly like each other if they act like they were?

"I win that one Hart." He mumbles.

"Shut it Sundance. I'm still mad at you." She mutters back resting her forehead on his chest and wrapping her arms around his stomach.

"Aren't you always." He chuckles.

"Yeah. I guess that's why I make fun of you. Because it's easy and I'm angry at you." She says.

"Good, I thought it was because you hate me." He chuckles kissing the top of her head.

"Never." She mumbles back.

That's when I realise. They don't like eachother, they love eachother. And no argument can change that.

Second chapter done.

How was it?

It's slightly shorter than the last one but oh well.

Comment any requests for new chapters as I'm not the best for ideas.
