Chapter 14 

“Your next meeting with MR Jake is in about thirty minutes sir,” I say looking away from Matt.

“What’s wrong Ana?” Matt asks grabbing the file from my hand. 

“Nothing, why?” I ask innocently but I know why he is asking me that question. I probably look weird with my eyes swollen from crying. 

I decided to avoid him but it’s getting harder each minute. I want to just hug him and tell him that it’s alright and nothing is wrong and kiss him and tell him how much I love him. 

I quickly shake my head to stop thinking about such things. I remind myself that I am doing this for Matt.

“Something is wrong, your face looks different and it wasn’t like that this morning, please tell me” Matt says softly as he comes toward me, I quickly step back.

“Ana, why are you acting weird?” 

“I am not, sir, this is an office and I am your assistance. I am just telling you when your next meeting is” I say and once again Matt walks toward me and grabs my hand and all I want to do is hold him and kiss him but I stop myself from doing that.

“Um- I have some other work to do, sir” I say and I pull my hand back and walk toward the door.

I let out a huge breath which I didn’t know I was holding, once again tears starts to fall from my eyes, I quickly wipe them away before someone sees me.

As I was sitting in my office, someone knocks on my door.

“Come in” I say and look up to see Matt.

“Can I help you, sir?” I politely ask him. I know how much this hurts him; me pretending that we are just co-workers and nothing else but I have to do this at least it will be easier for both of us to stay away from each other later.

“Stop this Ana, why are you acting like that? And what’s with “Can I help you sir?” “What can I do for you Sir?”  Matt says holding his voice from shouting.

I look at him weirdly, pretending I don’t know what he is talking about.

“What’s wrong with it, sir? You are my boss and I am calling you sir-“before I can finish my sentence Matt cuts me off.

“Ana please don’t behave like this, I don’t like it” Matt says softly as he walks toward me.

He slowly caresses my cheek and leans his forehead on mine. I control my urge to cry out on his shoulder but I stand still. 

“Why?” he whispers on my ears which gives me goose bumps. He slowly trails down toward my neck and I am left standing there, surprised by his sudden behaviour.

I close my eyes, enjoying the sensation he is giving me. He starts to kiss my neck as his hand travels around my back. I moan out his name. 

I cannot believe what is happening right now. I want to him continue to feel me but I won’t let him do that when I know he will regret it later. 

I pull back from him and he stares at me with wide eyes. 

“What’s wrong?” he ask

“I-I have t-“before I finish my sentence I walk out of the door towards the washroom.
