Chapter 1

New York City.

Diana's pov.

            Arrghhhh...why did it have to happen today out of all days. Today is my first day at office and my alarm decided that it was a good day not to wake Diana up. After completing my degree in business management I joined my dad's company and here I am in NY to discuss the first project which is completely under me. Being the youngest in the family everyone thought that I was going to follow my sisters step. But no I was always interested in joining dad's business and then to take over it after him. But I think the person up there is not in my favour and here I am late on my first day.

                Today I had to meet this Mr. Starc who is the CEO of the Starc Enterprises you name any business and Starc Enterprises has to be there. They have branched out so much after this Mr. Starc took over, not that his dad was any less but if reports are to be believed this young CEO is very ruthless. After waiting for almost around two months I got this appointment with him to discuss about the construction of the restaurants and spa in my new hotel. It's said that he hates people who are not punctual and is very arrogant. Now let's see where this leads to my today's meeting.

            "Miss McClinton, we are here," my driver David announces. I get out of my car and look at the building in front of me there in all its glory is the Starc Enterprises main office. I go in the reception and ask the receptionist about where shall I head to. She sees my ID and tells me to take the last elevator to the 15th floor which is the last floor and belongs to only him.

              I have never seen this Mr. Starc but heard a lot about him. Obviously I have done my research I don't want to take any chances in risking this deal. And if my research's result are completely accurate then he is what people call the incarnation of the devil himself. He is ruthless, cold, arrogant, and egoistic. Let's hope this goes fine.

              I reach the floor and walk towards his cabin. I take a deep breath and tell my self I can do it and I knock on the door.

           "Come in."

        I push the door and I come face to face with Ashton. No no he cannot be here. Ashton how how can this happen.

            Oh shit. Ashton Starc he is the CEO of the Starc Enterprises. Oh god!! Please help me.
