chapter 3

I woke up before her, and got out of bed to take a shower , I covered her back up and kissed her on the fore head. I went out the door down the hall. Still wondering about the pictures on the walls. But I just went on to the bathroom. I walk in to the bathroom. And take my shower. I guess that Megan got up and made me breakfast while I was in there, because when I got out It smelled like pancakes. I walk out the door to see her smiling at me with those blue eyes staring at me.

“come on… follow me” she turned around and grabbed my hand behind her . As we walk I could smell the pancakes  even more now as we were on our way down the stairs . We got into the kitchen and there was a big stack of pancakes smack dab in the middle of the table.  She smiled and said “ so do you like?”

“ yeah it’s nice” I said to her as I pulled out the chair for her and motioned her to sit, she sat with a smile. I sat down beside her, and we ate until we couldn’t eat anymore, they were that good.

Later that day some people showed up in black coats, and they had red eyes , like mine.

We went to the door and opened it and one of the men said his name was Casper.

“we are here on a call about a Caleb Dark?”

“ umm that’s me and what was this call about?”

“ a relationship with a mortal.”

Me and Megan looked at each other  in astonishment.

“so you must be the council?”

“yes , of the immortal world, and one of our rules is that no immortal can be in any type of relationship with a mortal, so we are here to say it has to end for you two.”

“ and what if we don’t end this relationship?”

“ well… you will both have to be sentenced to death.”

“ but.”

“ no buts, it’s a rule and you must follow these rules Caleb or the both of you will die.”

“ I don’t care what you people say I bet it’s a set up by that dumb ass.”

“ we don’t do set ups.”

I started to shut the door in his face but he put his hand there and pushed it back open.

“  now what’s it going to be , death or the end of this?”

“ were not ending anything so leave right now.”

“ we wont be going anywhere until we either kill the both of you or you end it”

“ do you mind giving us some time to think this over?”

“ you have 2 days and that’s all we will be back at this time in two days.” he said sternly and grabbed the handle and shut the door. We stood there for a while just staring at the ground thinking. Then I saw a tear run down her face as she wiped it off I pulled her close.

“ every things going to be ok I won’t let nothing happen to you , they can’t do this to us… I promise.”

“ but what if they kill us?”

“They won’t I won’t let it happen” she pulled me closer to her and squeezed me.

That night we would not let go of each other. We slept like we were in a can of sardines. I woke up in the morning thinking  of what was going to happen. She woke up and I told her we had to leave town. She nodded and we started to pack things we would need. She went down stairs to her moms bedroom opened a envelope that had 200 dollars in it. She took it and came back up stairs, put the money in a bag. And got out a peace of paper, and wrote  

Dear, mom and dad .

I have to leave I took some money from you don’t worry if I see you again I will get it back. Trust me I will be in good hands. And I will be ok. don’t worry about me because if you do it will be heart breaking if anything happens to me. And please don’t call the cops, I’m going to fine. I just need some time I will see you when I can. Love you both.        From: your daughter Megan.

She went back down stairs with a tear in her eye and sat the note on her parents bed. She got half way up the stairs and sat down with her face cupped in her hands crying. I walked down and sat beside her and put my arm around her. She laid her head on my shoulder. I said in a soft voice

“ I know its hard to let go but I promise you can come back but for a while we have to go if the council comes here tomorrow and finds out that we are still together we will be done for.”

She nods and gets up and goes up the stairs I get up and follow her we grab our bags and walk out the room and down stairs. I opened the door. She looked back and a tear ran down her face and she turned around and walked out the door and took a deep breath and grabbed my hand. We walked out to the bus stop and got on. We sat in the back, she laid her head on my shoulder.

“ where are we going” she asked all stuffed up.

“ some where were we can be together forever.”

We went over a bridge and a car crashed into the side of us it  pushed us off the side of the  bridge there we lots of screaming going on we crashed into the water my elbow smashed into the glass I hit my head I saw Megan’s head hit the roof of the bus. Some how I got out and the bus just stopped every thing went Quiet. I hear d a scream that’s sounded like Megan screaming my name. so I followed it and found her . I pulled her out . She was bleeding pretty bad I had to hold my hunger in to save her . I ripped off my shirt and rapped her arm in it. At that moment I didn’t care about my bleeding gash on my elbow. I just wanted Megan to be ok. I saw her eyes pop open . I was screaming Megan! Megan! Are you ok!

She replied in a screechy voice.” I’m ok “

 I pulled her close and she rapped her arms around me and notice my cut in my elbow. She looked at it for a second then said “ I think the question is are YOU ok?”

“ yeah I’m fine”

We got up and a hotel was not to far so we went there to stay the night. The lady at the desk asked us “ do you two need some help?”

“ no ma’am “ I said to her. She handed us the keys and we went to our room there was two beds, and a fridge , a sink, and some cups. I filled two of them up with some water. And gave one to Megan. We drank some and got showers and bandaged up each of our sours ,and we then went to sleep.
