Chapter 1

Madison's P.O.V
It's been 3 weeks and I still haven't found my brothers. I'm out in this hell of a world lone,what if there dead?i keep traveling through the woods for about 2 more hours and I finally give up. I sit down next to a tree and hug my stomach. I'm so hungry but I don't want to trigger any walkers my way with shooting an animal. I decide to kill it the harder way and pull out my knife. I look for food and I have found a squirrel and I aim and I throw. Squirrel falls dead on the ground,hit it right between the eye. I do feel bad when I see an animal die but it's either me or it. Few hours past and I have finally decided to make a fire.i go through the woods looking for some fire wood and I find some laid down neatly next to a tree. Maybe it's someone's so I shouldn't take it. But then again there's no sign of anyone around here so I take it anyway and start a fire with it. After I'm done eating the squirrel I burn out the fire and keep heading north. Becomes morning and I'm exhausted. I haven't slept for like 3 days because that takes to much of a chance for a walker to pop out of nowhere and eat your brains out.I keep traveling untill I reach a small camp with a bunch of people. the second I stepped onto the camp site every body turned and looked at me.awkward.a lady came walking over to me and smiled.she had Brown hair with a white tank top and light blue jeans with a plaid rodeo shirt tied around her waist.

"hello what's your name".she asked very sweetly.

"madison".I responded.she smiled and then she had a" wait a minute"look on her face. she glanced over at a man. the man had a blue button up shirt and jeans and his hair was dark brown.

"do you have a group".she asked.by the sound of her voice,she was acting like I was a baby. I mean I am only 11 but I'm not a baby.

"no"I said shyly.

"do you have anybody".she asked looking right into my blue eyes with her bright blue eyes.

"yes but we got separated".I replied.

she looked around motioning for a young boy around my age to come over here. he has Brown short hair and he was wearing a blue and white baseball t shirt and blue jeans."Madison this is my son Carl,Carl this is madison". He smiled and I returned it.

"What are the people's names"she asked holding the boy Carl's hand.i looked around and everyone was still staring at me. This is embarrassing.

"Merle and Daryl,there my brothers"I said holding back tears. I miss them so much especially Daryl.i saw hers and Carl's eyes go wide. She looked behind her motioning the man to come over here.i saw her whispering in his ear,guessing they were talking about me because she kept glancing over her shoulder at me. When they were done the man kneeled down in front of me since I was so short. He was like a big foot compared to me.

"you want to stay here with us,we have plenty of room".he said smiling.i didn't know what to say.i have to find Daryl and Merle but I could end up dying out there since I'm only 11.i was thinking for awhile when the woman spoke up.

"You can share a tent with Carl"she responded. I looked directly at Carl and he blushed which made me blush. The man laughed and walked over to Carl."why you blushing kid,you blushing because your gonna have a pretty young girl in your tent with you".he blushed even more making him a tomato red. This is so embarrassing. His mom laughed and looked at me."by the way I'm Lori and that's Shane".she smiled and I returned a smile back. These people seem really nice,and they might be able to help me find my brothers.

"Are you hungry".a voice said from behind Lori and She moved out of the way. A lady that looked about her late 40's with short grey hair and a poke doted shirt with light brown pants appeared. I nod and she brings me to the kitchen area. There I see two blond girl talking. They both look at me and smiled then go back to there conversation."I'm Carol what's your name".the lady asks grabbing a plate with squirrel on it."Madison".i replied watching her pour some water in the cup. She turned around and handed me the plate smiling. "Sit any where you want".she said getting back to cleaning some dishes. I turned around and walked over to the blond girls.

"Um do you guys mind if I sit here".i say shyly. "Sure"one of the blond girls said. One has a white shirt with navy blue starts on it and blue jeans, and the other one had a white tank top and a blue cardigan over it with light brown jeans. "My names Amy and that's my sister Andrea".she said fixing her hair on her shoulder. "Im Madison".

I few hours past of getting to know everybody and so far I have met a lot of people. Lori,Carl,Shane,Carol,Amy,Andrea,gale,morales and his family. I also met Sophia carols daughter. Everyone here is so nice and funny. They all seem to care about each other a lot to. I still can't wait to find Daryl and Merle though.

"Kids go to bed it's getting late".lori said leading us to the tents.me and Carl walked towards our tent and went inside. We still haven't really talked that much but I guess it's fine. "Wait so Daryl and Merle are your brothers". Carl asked from on the right side of me. I nodded and he smiled. "Don't worry you will see them again".he said turning away from me closing his eyes. That gave me hope. Hopefully he's right. And suddenly I find my self falling asleep.
