I looked up into the fiery, red eyes of the child as they slowly, deliberately, patted away the fresh blood and dust from their sweater. "H-How could you?" I asked them, pain clear in my voice as I held the tattered, blue hoodie in my hands. The child let out a dark and bitter laugh, "I killed your lover! And you're next to join him! " They laughed out, their chortle cold and bitter as they pull out their knife and stalked forward.
There was a small blip on my screen, alerting me that my game had finished downloading. Excited I pulled my new 'Nerve Gear' off my desk and let it slowly slide onto my head. The screen soon loaded from just white to slowly green and black. Without warning I felt a small shock go down my torso, to my arms then to my legs. I shook lightly as my head became clouded and my mind went blank. I slowly blinked my eyes and pushed myself to my feet, eyes darting around, slowly becoming aware of my surroundings as I took in the dark atmosphere; the small halo of light coming from the large hole above gave life to the small yellow flowers around my feet. Realizing that it was the background plot for the new game I got, "Undertale". I looked around confused before doing what any normal person in this situation would do, I slapped myself. Flinching away from the pain, I shouted, startled. "What the bloody hell?" Quickly, I reached up to take off my 'Nerve Gear' only to notice that it wasn't there.
