Prologue

Steps where heard all over the black marbled floor. Lighting and thunder filled the sky over idris; a soft sob was heard through the halls of the cathedral. A baby.

"Shhh Nicholas calm down... Everything will be alright. You'll be safe..." a women with long black hair and soft tan skin said to the child on her arms. She put the hazel eyed boy on a basket and opened the door to the cathedrals court room.

The room was lit by small candles attached to six white marbled pillars placed in each side of the long court room, making the room dim. At the end of the room a gigantic door made out of white and grey marble with the angelic rune carved in center of the elegant door. A portal. Nicholas sobbed loudly as his mother pulled slowly with all her strength the portal's door. She took of a necklace that she wore around her soft neck and placed it on her loving child.

The necklace was gold and it had a small quartz connected to a small witch light by gold wires. She hold him close to her chest and tears ran down her lovely doll-like face. She Placed the baby on the floor and opened the portal completely. As she hold her kid for the last time she heard the front door opened.

More than fifty guards from the clave enter marble room surrounding them. She hold her child close to her. A tall man with black hair and blue eyes step in front of the guards.
"Mary Elizabeth had me the child. He belongs to the clave. Just hand him to me and no one needs to get hurt"he said stretching his arms for the crying child.

"Get away Louis I rather kill me son and handed over to the clave! I thought you loved him.By the angel His your son you know what the clave will do to him "she said looking for a bit mercy on Louis

"Mary Elizabeth you don't understand it's for his own safety. His different and you know it ... Your not thinking straight. " he said walking closer to them making Mary take a few steps back to keep distance. The light of the portal illuminated the court room it was almost blinding; it made the tall white columns cast long dark shadows... as She held her child and kissed his forehead "my little angel... My lovely little angel." and send him through the glowing portal.

She felt a stabbing pain her back; Louis. Her lover , her life companion , her childhood with a quick move implied her with his sword.She fell to floor and he picked her up in his arms "I'm sorry but-"

"The law is the law I know " Mary interrupted him...she whispered something softly in his ear "I love you" she said and died in his arms .
He let out a scream of agony "what have I've done! Mary...My beautiful Mary... I'm so terribly sorry...."
