Prince P.o.v

I lift my head up to see a dirty, half shattered glass mirror with a tall, muscular toned, tan skinned man. Thick, brown hair not longer than the middle of my forehead. Light brown, almost hazzel colored eyes staring back at me. I notice the scratches and bruises on my upper body, my knuckles red and sore. I cup my hands into the bucket of water in front of me washing my face.

Today is the day, the day our finest knights make our way to that cowardly dragons cave and take the magical mirror. I've been training ever since I was young to fight, my father is the king after all. It's a prince's duty to protect his kingdom and one day rule it. Retrieving this mirror will give me the honor and respect I've been working for my whole life. Also that evil beast has been eating our livestock, the mirror grants wishes so our kingdom hopes we can ask the mirror for more animals until we can finally kill the dragon.

"Theo", a servant calls out, "sir, would you like me to assist you with putting on your armour?" I take one last glance at my reflection, water dripping off my chin. "Yes, please come here, and swiftly. We don't have much time." I dry my face with an old cloth and toss it at my servant, a grin slipping out the corner of my mouth by accident.

After properly getting ready, I lift my sword. I look in my curved reflection once more, remembering the first time I lifted a sword. I could barely pick it up, my father laughing behind me and patting my shoulder. I'm interrupted from my thoughts, "sir, the knights are all ready. They await you on their horses," he lowers his head as he speaks. I grip my sword and look out in front of me not knowing what the future holds.

I walk past my men, they are all brothers to me although I am an only child. I see my horse I raised his whole life, the strong, sturdy, pitch black horse beneath me. My horse and I breathing as one, I grab his main for balance, and I know we are ready. "ON WARD!" I yell, as my knights and I gallop off to the dangerous cave.
