Chapter 1. Is this where it all began?

Maka's POV.

Im staring out of the window in the living room noticing soul was being very silent in his room.

I look around and wonder why the only thing I can hear is the clock ticking and ticking over my head, "Soul!?" I yell sorta worried that he fell asleep making me make dinner when it's obviously his turn; "Maka!" soul yells running out of his room turning facing me when i stand up and walk up to him... I-I can talk, it's like a dream were you just can't talk! "Maka... What's wrong!" soul said and grabbed her shoulders, maka panicked " I had a nightmare! I fell asleep on the couch and- and..." I stuttered a lie without even knowing until I said it; being cut off with soul hugging me tight, I hug him back while his arms was around my neck and my arms were around his waist; With one hand upper near his shoulder and one hand down on his waist.
I tightened my hand and hug tighter, My head in his shoulder when he stood there letting my pain out on him... I did have a nightmare a couple days ago but i couldn't tell him about it because it would kill him... he would freak and want to... go and kill himself! I couldn't let that happen; We stayed hugging like that for in hour until i un-tightened my grip "I'm gonna go for a walk okay?" I say "I'll go with you?" He asks as he looked at me with those demanding eyes, "No it's okay, I have to calm down myself." I said when soul surprisingly kisses me on the cheek and I ran out the door leaving him without a word.

I run down the stairs and stopped, I looked up and then back down; I opened the door leaving the lobby. I walked down to Death café,

"Hello there, May I sit beside you?" A girl asks after I sit down with a coffee; "Uh, Sure!" I say and giggle so she would see me as someone else, "So whats your name?" I ask gently and took a sip quickly of my coffee. She smiles and says "Im perhaps Keima Imai, nice to meet ya!" "Maka albarn, So do you work anywhere, like DWMA!?" I ask, I swear she seem familiar somehow? "um i'm a soul reaper!" She says acting cute; Fuck she's so cute! "Oh cool but i swear you look familiar?" she looks up at me in confusion, "Oh! Im Death the Kids sister, Is that how?" she giggles. "Ah, Your Death the Kid's Sister, Wow he never said anything before?" Im so surprised Keima is-is Kid's sister, that bastard not telling us...

I finish my coffee and grab my bag putting it around my neck, "Well, I should be going, It was nice meeting you!" I said throwing the cup in the garbage "Caio!" She waves and pulls her phone out when i leave.

Keima's POV.

"Hello" someone answered, i then sighed "I found her." I speak knowing i was safe, "Good And?" "She's A strong one and she knows my brother too" I say giving her the information, "Good, now concert Her Soul!" my eyes widened in shock, what the fuck is she thinking? "What? NO!" I yelled in fear.

"Fine then look into her soul and tell me how long it will take intill the black blood/Maddness Takes over!" "OKAY!" I say nervously and before I could hang up, "Thank you for putting the black blood in her a month ago!" She said and I hanged up scared!

Maka's POV.

I studied the hill I was walking up until I fell on a knee feeling hot. I looked down to my arm and see black snakes crawling on me bitting me pretty hard, I sit up and leaned against the wall, When the snakes continued to bite me; someone was coming, I hesitated. It was Keima! Keima walked up to me and put her two fingers on my chest and closed her eyes checking my soul wavelength, that's half black and half blue, through there was a time limit on my soul, but for what? Me and Keima noticed it started raining as she picked me up, I drifted into a deep sleep!

I awakened and looked around, I was in an allyway; I wasn't soaked because of the roof that was above me; that also covers the whole allyway... It was 8:00 am so I had a hour to get to school; I dashed out of there and headed to class, The sun was out and I must admit it was pretty out!

But The black blood is taking over faster now and I really don't want to hurt anyone so what do I do?

I ask myself when I kept running.

I get to class a bit early so, I took my seat and waited for the bell... Stein came in and for once he wasn't late. "Oh, maka your early!" He says and while screwing his screw harder in his head, "Ya!" I say and the bell rang, everyone walking in taking there seats, Soul looked worried when he walked in and I think its my fault! Soul comes and sits beside me, "Maka, Where have you been!" Soul whispers still I could tell he was mad; "Im sorry Soul, I fell asleep when I was at Death café and then I woke up in an ally and It was 8:00 I needed to get to school!" I say hesitating "Okay!" Soul says calming down and signs... Everyone was listening to our conversation; Kid, Liz, Patty, Tsubaki and black star turned around when I looked at them.

During class, Stein was boring us by doing another desection through I was texting Keima...

Our conversation:

KEIMA: 'Hey maka!'

ME: 'Hey, you wanna meet when school is over?"

KEIMA: 'Okay, Death Café again'

ME: 'Ya, See you there?'

KEIMA: 'Yep, What time?'

ME: '2:00'

KEIMA: 'K Caio!'

ME: Bye :D

Conversation Ends.

The bell rang and I left, It's 1:30 pm I have half in hour to get there... When I got out the gang was where, Black star and kid was fighting again and that wasn't good, I gotta run to get there... Stein was watching with soul... "Heya maka!" Soul said but I stayed silent running towards star and kid, jumping putting my hands on there heads and over I leave and everyone was shocked, "Why Is she In such a rush?" Black star says before I disappear...

I run in Death Café, When I found Keima sitting on one of the couches, I sat beside her, "Hey!" She says with a gentle smile, "Hey Keima!" I approached her, "Here" She says and gave me a dounut (Honey Cruller), "Thanks, My favourite." I giggle and she giggles with me, "It's my favourite too!" She says taking a drink.

"So would you like to meet my friends at anytime!?"

"NO! Im sorry i'm sorta afraid to meet them." She confesses and I understand nodding. "It's okay, I get It!" I smile when she giggles... We spend hours and hours talking and I really must say I like her... We had 15 mins left and Keima and I just hanged out! "Maka, Can we be friends?" She said nervously and I smiled big "Yep, I would love too!" I said when I open my eyes finding keima hugging me "Thanks!" She yells and I hug her back... 000 my watch reads, We un-hug and We say our goodbyes...

I was walking home and I felt a sharp pain in my side, I had to get home...

I Simply got home and the pain got worst, soul was in the kitchen... "You want dinner?" Soul asks and I slowly sit in the chair, I put my hand on my head... what do I do? "No thanks, Im sorta tired, Goodnight!" I say putting a arm around me under my boobs... I could tell soul was watching me walking in my room really slowly, Later I wake and it's only 8:30...half an hour huh? I get up and walk out of my room into the washroom.

I leaned closer to the mirror, I felt a pain in my neck... I suddenly look up in the mirror and see the eyes on my face, A smile creeped on my face scaring me; I quickly throw soul's razor directly into the mirror cracking it with the razor falling on the floor. looking up at my hand, I pull the glass thats in my hand throwing it in the garbage... The pain in my neck got worst and I then throw up in the sink, but it was black blood... huh..
Rinsing the black blood away; my eyes widen and I fall to the ground, 'Fuck you!' I thought as I watched the blood drip down from my hand to the floor.
