Just a normal breeze, running through my hair. Just a normal day, just like every day of my life. Just another life to live, I thought, thinking in a new light.
"I want to live a different way and experience life to the fullest" I whispered, not even noticing that I moved my lips. I begged to the Lord that life for once would be interesting and fun. I ran outside into woods I called my backyard until I reached my treehouse, which provided me with serenity, peace, and freedom. I climbed the ladder into my abyss. I opened the circular door and jumped into the small room. I started to pant from all of the running and needed to take a puff from my inhaler. After I calmed down, I sat and took a glance outside window. The bight colors of sunset took my eye, and I started quietly sing a song that popped into my mind.
"While many may believe we have another life to lead, no one knows the truth, so live like there is just one, and pray that we will achieve everything we need. Love, knowledge, and the desire to be free."
I slightly closed my eyes throughly thinking of the words to the song. I prayed to the Lord, yet again, for another song to sing, and freedom of a bird during the beautiful month of spring. I realized that the sunlight will soon disappear from my reach, so I yet again had to leave my tree and go back into the real world. I climbed down and slowly walked home until I reached the door. I stood there, telling myself to walk in, but I couldn't do it anymore. So my fingers slowly left the knob, and I ran away once more.
