Maya's POV

I can't believe this.
Everything I had is gone.

All my Pictures, my Clothes, that Box where I keep Important things in.

I went to the Police Officer who's standing in my Room.
Wait can I say "my Room"?
I mean It's a  completly mess.
"Ugh whatever" I thought.

"Hey Maya. We don't know yet what had Set the Fire up but I'm telling you as sonnest we know.
I'm really sorry that this happened to you and your Mum".

"Thanks Darren. Have you Seen my Mum? I tried to Call her but she isn't picking up". I told him.

Darren used to bring my Mum Home When she started drinking. It sucks.
She was clean for 2 months but I think she's drinking again.
She tries to hide it from me but I'm Not stupid.

"No, I haven't Seen her in a While.
Is she drinking again?", he Asked me.

I mumbled "think so".

"You can always Call me if you need help okay?".

"Thanks".

I walked out of the House and went to Riley's.
She's my Best friend since forever and her Parents offered me to stay with them.
I think they see me as a third Child.
I See them as my Parents since I'm always with them and my Mum...
Well she isn't.

Riley and I sat on her Bay Window.
It's the Place where we Talk about anything and everything.
Riley and I were sitting and starring out of the Window for like 10min til she Broke the Silence.

"Maya are you okay?".

"I guess. I can't believe this. How could this happen?  All my stuff is gone."

"It will be okay. I know your Important Things are gone but you will have some New one in the Future. You can stay with us as long as you need to".

"Thanks Riles. By the way have you Seen my Mum?".

"No sorry".

Riley walked out of the Room to take a Shower since it was already 8pm.
I sat on the Couch in the LivingRoom
Next to Mr.Matthews.

"Sup Matthews".

"Maya. We know us since you got into 7th grade. Don't you think It's time to Call me Cory?".

"Alright Matthews.".

"Maya?".

"Alright Cory".

We both smiled and started watching a Survival in the Dschungel Show on National Geographic.

"Cory I know you love History and you are my History Teacher but do we really need to have lessons at Home? "

He laughed and then answered
"Maya It's never too late or too much to learn something that you might need in your life later on.
And yes It's true I love History It's so exciting isn't it?".

I laughed and Said jokely "Of course it is".

After 30mins Riley and I went to Topanga's. It's the Bakery of Riley's Mum.
We ate some pie and had a smoothie.
We sat outside the Bakery When we saw Lucas and Farkle walking towards us.
They Asked me if I was alright and if we know what Set up the Fire.
I hate that Question: are you okay?

Seriously how can you ask someone that When they lost everything they had. But there are my Best friends so I fake smiled amd said that I'm fine.
The for of us where at the Bakery for like a few hours When we were about to walk Home. My House is or was whatever at the end of the street.

I was almost at Riley's Door When Lucas yelled from behind
"Guys wait. Why are 2 Police Cars at Maya's House"?.

I turned around and thought "What the Heck".
Then my Phone vibrated.
I looked at the Screen and saw an Incoming Call from Darren.

"Hello?"

"Maya Can you come to your House There's something I Need to tell you".

"Sure"

I picked up and told my friends that we need to go to the House.
Maybe they Found the reason why the House was on Fire.
We reached my House After 2 mins.
I saw a body bag on the Ground.
Now I started to Freak out.

"Darren what's going on"? I Said half crying.

"Maya It's your Mum. We Found her in her Closet.  I don't know why she was in there but she was in the House While the House was on Fire.
I'm so Sorry Maya."

I couldn't believe what I just heard.
Does that mean that my Mum is Dead?
She burned to death.
I can't Imagne how painful this must be.
I don't care that she was  alcoholic addicted.  She didn't deserve do die.
What am I gonna do now?

I felt to the ground and started crying.
Man I've never cried that much in my Whole life.
My friends sat right next to me and we ended up in a Group hug.
I couldn't stop thinking about that one sentence.

My Mum is Dead.
