the two of us together
we're compulsive embracers
we fell out our windows and
now we're six feet undercover
the two of us together
we're painted disappointments
disguised ourselves as normal
but we see right through each other
the two of us together
we're mirror images of security
always holding back impulses
because they threaten to destroy us
the two of us together
we're the wrong sort of sensitive
the frames won't fit our minds
if they shatter every single time
the two of us together
we're straining against our stitches
so many coded kisses
have been encrypted on our lips
the two of us together
we're buried in each other
seeking sweet solace in our flaws
no need to suppress our anxieties
the two of us together
we're always faking reality
got far too close to the truth
so now we skirt around the edges
the two of us together
we're not what we seem
you don't need my tears to prove
my insufficiency is taking over me
the two of us together
we're the last to be suspected
of good, or bad - we're otherwise inclined
these veins are devoid of conformity
it's
our
flaws
that
make
us
