Author's Note: So this is very different compared to my other two stories! I hope you like it! Also a heads up: This story contains spoilers from my other two I have written. If you would like to read them with out being spoiled, I suggest you don't read those chapters until you finish the stories that I say will have spoils. This one doesn't so you're safe!  Besides that, happy reading!

The clocks tick. Every second is in sync with the rest. It's peaceful to rest in my office, staring mindlessly at the the computer screen in front of me. I watch my town wake from its slumber. I always check on the people I'm close with first. To make sure they slept well, no nightmares, no horror, no death. I'm supposed to go in alphabetical order. I don't comply to that action. I search through the people I favor, even though I feel guilt for doing this everyday, I still do it. I check through everyone else. Boring, boring and boring. All awake. All had pleasant dreams. I look down at my two keyboards. Every letter could make someone's life change. I've never used the second one. Only emergencies. Can't be greedy, can't use it for yourself. Or risk getting kicked out the job.

My job may seem like nothing. All I really do is watch a screen, watch for any unknown suspects, it may not seem much but it can get very intense and scary. But if they do register in the system I mercy them. It's entertaining to watch the little black dot run around the map of town. I'm supposed to automatically report it to the police. I don't follow that. I give everyone mercy. That's why I'm such a great...well watcher. That's basically all I am. I slide my fingers on the controls on the right side of my keyboard. These switches can do anything. Make the town have a lockdown, turn off all power, reset. I never want to reset. But that's the least of my worries. They're more important manners to do than to ponder the thought about resetting. My map icon on the side of my computer blinked. "Unregistered visitor." I chuckle out the words. I already know who it was. "What on earth are you gonna do today Redd?" I asked the screen. He's always fun to watch. I like to see him disappear like smoke from police. He was a trickster. He dashed across the screen at an alarming speed. Making the computer glitch. He stopped in front of a blue store with a leaf on it. An evil grin stretched across my face. "Hope you like visitors." I chuckle at Tom Nook's store. I wish I could see Nook's reaction. To see him crumble as he saw his foe. But I couldn't. My powers can only do so much. I only saw what the chat box said when I clicked the black dot and yellow dot.

Tom Nook: What are you doing here?!

Unregistered Visitor: Ah can't stop to say hi?

Tom Nook: No you can't!

Unregistered Visitor: Come on, past is in the past. Yer still a decent person to be around.

I cackled. "Tom Nook is not a decent person." I mumble. He's been wanting my job for awhile now. He couldn't handle it. He already owns all the homes in town. I can't imagine him having the power I have on top of it. He's too greedy. He would hurt and abuse the role of a watcher. My stomach grumbles. I checked my clock. "10:00 AM. Better get something in my stomach." I spoke to myself, logging out the computer. Another rule I actually follow, always log out the computer when you leave the room.

I went to Brewsters. I asked for my usual, sitting at the countertop. Brewster gave me a muffin. "You're too thin. Eat." he demanded. I took a bite out of the muffin. He gave me a half smile, continuing to make my coffee. The door rang. Someone was entering the cafe. A brown raccoon like creature caught the corner of my eye. "Great." I groan inside. Tom sat next to me. "Hey Rover." he said. "Hello." I replied, looking away from him. "What have you been up to?" he asked. "Nothing. Just the usual." I said in a flat tone. "You know you never get out that stuffy house? It's bad for your health." Nook commented. I rolled my eyes. "Unlike you I can't set a time for when I can get off and start working." I grumbled. "Woke up from the wrong side of the bed?" he smiled. I hated his smile. Full of lies and dusty bags of money. "I wish I can sleep. But I have a twenty four hour job." I snapped. "If your job is twenty four hours...why are you here?" Tom Nook questioned, thinking he's won this battle. "I had a slow morning since you haven't begged someone to pay rent before it's even due." I try not to growl. I don't want to appear to upset. Tom Nook's smile shrank. But not much. "You shouldn't be watching me like that. There are many other people that need to be watch. You must be slacking off since Redd is coming and leaving town as he wants to." Tom Nook said, annoyance in his voice. I smile. "What if I like Redd? I think he's pretty ok. He's not really doing much harm...not as much harm as you're doing." I said sweetly. "You shouldn't be allowing outsiders in town. If I were to be the watcher I would have this place locked up, safe from harm." Nook said. "And innocent people would die." I commented in my head.
