“Thanks, guys but I’ll be fine.” I assured them.
“Prove it.” Aaron said.
“How?”
He stood there like an idiot and Kris said “Come with us to club met!”
“Yea! It’s ladies night! Chicks get in free!” Aaron said.
Kris and I bothlaughed. “That means you have to pay smart one.”
“So? I’m going to be surrounded by chicks!”
“Whatever. So? You in?” Kris said with her lips all pouty.
I just looked at her. She pouted even more.
“Fine. How can I say no to you?”
“Yay!”
“Wait! I’ve got guitar lessons today.”
“No you don’t” Kris said in a demanding tone.
“C’mon Kris, it’s my first lesson.”
“Fine. When does it end?”
“8 o’clock”
“Oh, that’s still early, it’s a Friday night. I’ll pick you up and you can sleep over afterwards.” She said walking off.
I stayed there frozen. Great. I thought. Another late night with Kris.
I went to my first period and thought of what happened last time I hung out with Kris.
~Flashback~
“whoooo!!!” Kris shouted as we entered a club on the other side of town. I didn’t know where I was at but Kris was having fun so I didn’t bother asking.
I made my way to a table and sat there keeping an eye on Kris. Of course she was drinking and of course she would have to stay at my house…again.
I was enjoying the music when a waiter placed a drink on my table.
“Oh I didn’t-“
“I know. The girl in the red dress paid for it.”
I looked behind me and I saw her. She was smiling at me seductively and biting her bottom lip. I felt fear sweep over me and I quickly turned around.
I didn’t know if I was gay. I knew I would look at girls a little more than usual but never gay.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and I heard her whisper “I can make tonight the night of your dreams baby.” I froze and got up as fast as I can causing the drink to spill and our faces being inches apart.
She smiled and I saw that smile, those chocolate brown eyes and those full glossylips.
“I’m Jenna.” She said seductively.
“I’m-I’m- I’ve got to go.” I stammered jetting out of that situation.
I ran to the middle of the dance floor and found Kris’s tongue inside some other chick’s mouth. I went up to her not caring whether she’ll snap or not and pulled her away.
“We’ve got to go now!” I screamed.
“What? No! I’m horny and I’m going to get laid right baby!” She slurred at the girl she was with.
“No Kris! We’re leaving!” I said pulling on her arm.
“Where yopu going sexy?” Jenna asked as she stopped in front of me.
“Sexy? Oh my gosh she is so hitting on you Kristen!” Kris said stumbling on herself.
“She doesn’t play for that team if you know what I’m saying.”
“Jenna move!” I yelled.
“Not until you kiss me goodnight baby.”
“Wow you’re funny.” Kris said.
“C’mon baby just one kiss.”
I was furious at this point.
“She has a girlfriend!” Kris yelled.
“What are you doing?” I whispered in her ear.
“Shh baby we don’t have to pretend anymore.” She said putting her index finger on my lips.
She wouldn’t…. would she.
When Jenna cocked an eyebrow Kris immediately forced her lips on mine.
Her breath reeked of alcohol. I kept my lips closed and pulled away trying not to act disgusted.
“Nice try babe. But any girls can do that.” She said with a smirk.
I was fuming.
I grabbed Kris’s face and kissed her more passionately. I didn’t think about what I was doing. I was too mad. I felt her tongue against mine and soon enough we were practically playing tonsil hockey.
I pulled away feeling light headed and breathing heavily.
“Wow, I still don’t believe it. But if you can turn me on while making out with someone else you’re definitely worth the wait.”
She came towards me, grabbed my face and kissed me. I pulled away and just glared at her.
“You’ll be back sexy.”
Kris and I went to my house afterwards. She didn’t question anything. Mainly because she didn’t remember anything. I was glad that night was over.
~End of flashback~
I pondered on those thoughts throughout the entireschool dayand hoped that tonight won’t lead to anything else like that.
That night was the night I realized I might be gay. And because of that thought I saw Jenna. I spent time with Jenna. I fell in love with Jenna. But it was all a big mistake.
After school I met up with Aaron and we were talking about how he’s going to get wasted and hoping on getting laid. I just laughed at how stupid he was sounding.
I got home and heard my mom talking to Rick on the phone.
“My daughter has a guitar lesson today so I’ll have to pick her up babe, I’m sorry.”
“Mom.” Said walking behind her.
“One moment Rick. Yes?”
“I’m going to sleep over at Kris’s tonight so she’ll pick me up from the lesson.”
“Oh good good. Rick, I’ve got great news.”
I went up stairs and packed my guitar. It was the one my grandmother gave me before she died. I loved it. She is the reason I’m in love with music. Because of her, I probably wouldn’t have an outlet.
I received texts from Aaron and Kris saying how awesome tonight’s going to be. I smiled and replied with something similar.
I just hope tonight won’t be like the last. I don’t want any more regrets. No more tears. No more heartbreak. I just want tonight to be…. perfect.
