“Hello, I’m Jason. How may I help you?” My mother and I were greeted as we entered Guitar Center.

“Hi, Jason. I was looking for some guitar lessons for my daughter here.” My mom said.

“Perfect.” He said with a big grin.

We went into the guitar section and was immediately signed up for lessons.

“I won’t be the one teaching you though. I have a drum lesson at that time. So Mike here is going to teach you.” He said introducing Mike.

He seemed nice and calm. I liked him already.

After we got the time and dates of my lessons we were out of there.

We walked out the front door and the tapping of drumsticks caught my attention. That’s the first time I ever laid eyes on her.

She looked intimidating. She had long jet-black hair, and bangs that were being held up by her glasses, which hid her piercing brown eyes. She passed by me and I heard Avenged Sevenfold’s “Welcome to The Family” blasting on her ipod.

She turned into a soundproof drum room and I lost sight of her. She was beautiful

I got into the car and heard my mom’s lecture about how I better go through with this because she spent so much money on the lessons.

Of course, I didn’t listen to her. I was too busy thinking about the mystery girl.

I wonder if she’s gay? I asked myself. Oh what are you thinking? You live In a town where gays are despised and apparently “going to hell.”

She probably wasn’t. She was too pretty to be gay.

My mother and I stopped at a local bbq place to eat. While we waited in line there a couple that were holding hands.

“Aww how cute.” My mother cooed.

The couple turned around. They were lesbians.

They smiled.

“EWW!!” My mom yelled. “You nasty lesbian freaks! Let’s go Kristen! We are not standing next to these sick-os” My mother pulled me by the arm and yelled out “God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!”

I was embarrassed. I got into the car and gritted my teeth. She was mumbling about how people can live with themselves when they’re gay.

If she said that to strangers, I wonder what would she say to me if she found out I was gay?

We went to go pick up McDonalds and ate at home instead.

I was still mad about the whole situation so I called it a night.

“Goodnight honey. Sorry if I embarrassed you today.”

“It’s alright mom. You were right.” I said out loud.

“You’re always fucking right.” I muttered under my breath.

I went to my room, blasted some Escape The Fate on my ipod and thought about everything. The outburst, my guitar lessons, and the mystery girl.

I drifted off to sleep, thinking about the hectic school day ahead.

Ok yes it was super short. Feedback is great. No matter if it's criticism or new ideas. I kinda don't know where this is going just yet, but it'll go somewhere. But the next chapter will depend on the feedback....maybe lol :) thanks
