Prologue
"They look like normal humans." Said Cairo, looking at the 12 photos in his hands. "Have the members of UDT lost their minds, just like their earthly counterparts?"
He gave a snort.
"They think these humans can stop me? They think these mortals can stop the great Cairo?"He laughed loudly.
His followers joined his laughter.
"Earth is ours master!" said one of them.
"Earth is mine." said Cairo coldly.
"Waskor, keep the space and time machines ready. I have some very old scores to settle. Earth is my birth planet, after all!"
CHAPTER 1
I
The plane had silence.
Julian's ears could hear a million sounds. Hearing thoughts wasn't as simple as hearing people speak. He could take in only a few words from the million sound waves that dashed his ears every second.
He took a deep breath as he opened his eyes. Silence surrounded him like a blanket.
He glanced at the robotic woman, sitting in the front row. She turned back and looked at him. He looked away.
Did she know that I was looking at her? He thought. Why are her thoughts inaudible to me?
He had met many people whose thought processes were dull. But, they were always audible to him, however low. How was this possible? Why couldn't he hear her thoughts? And, where was this woman taking him?
He looked at the diary he was clutching in his hand- the only thing he had brought with him. He dared not open it. Even the cover of this bundle of memories brought the image of Georgia in front of his eyes. He had once considered burning it. He blinked back tears. Time had taught him to be strong.

Sarah shuffled silently. She snapped at her watch, which had stopped working. She looked in the front seat for the flight's safety manual, but there wasn't any. Such a strange plane. All this is so confusing. She was tired. In usual circumstances, she would have gone to sleep. But, the fear of knowing what was ahead kept her awake.
It had all started when she had got that strange dream. The robotic woman was there in the dream. In the dream, she and the robotic woman were running away from a plane. When they were at enough distance from the plane, the plane had blasted- BOOM! With that, Sarah had woken up.
For the first time in her life, Sarah doubted if her dream would come true. But, as always, her ability to predict the future did not disown her this time either.
The morning after she got the dream, Sarah got ready for her trip to Washington. She had been invited by Clare for Christmas.
In the railway station, however, she saw the robotic woman walking towards her. The woman came close to her and whispered in her ears, "Sarah, Listen to me carefully. Leave your luggage in the train, get down in the next station and follow me. You are going on a mission-" she had said, in a hushed voice, "with the - Universal department of time. I'll explain everything once we reach our destination." She had said firmly. Sarah had blinked at her vaguely.
But she couldn't refuse to go with her as the woman's words took then a sinister turn- "I know everything about you, Sarah." She said. "For your own sake, it is best you go with me." The woman looked into her eyes. "Remember Tory? Remember what you did to her, or should I remind you?" she said, with a threatening expression. Sarah felt her heart beating rapidly.
