Eyes, they are the most beautiful part of the human body. Well, at least in my opinion. Some say that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and if you look hard enough you can discover the mystery hidden behind them. But, there was one person that was always hard to figure out, she was such a mystery she didn't even know who she was herself. And that one person was me, Nicole Windows. Some people can tell the whole story of your life just by looking into your eyes, unless you're me. When the Rift opened and all hell broke loose you couldn't tell who was "alive" or not. People were attacking others, neighborhood shootings broke out, and break-ins popped up around our little town and nowhere else. But it wasn't always like this, let's start from the beginning.
A few months ago we had just moved into our new neighborhood and with that comes a new school and new friends. And being the daughter to two advanced scientist parents, you're bound to be a geek in that subject, I'm a sophomore and I had just started studying the junior science learning curriculum. Being a quirky, nerdy, introverted teen is not the best type of person to be going into a new school as.
