This child, the blessed child, was known all through the land. Some thought they were a myth, other's said they were a legend long passed. Others still believed the child was locked away by the gods, awaiting their calling. The child, nameless to the people, was born to a high power; Rasmus the demon king. However, the child only possessed purity, enough to rival that of an angels. Shamed, their father locked them away, out of sight. For the first 18 years of their life they lived in a crystal library with their care taker, July.

The father, though disappointed in his sons purity, was proud of how beautiful his child was. Their slender frame glowed softly, their skin milky white and smooth like cream. They moved softly, each movement so smooth and graceful it seemed like they were dancing instead of moving through their day. They wore a simple tunic, almost as white as their skin, covering their most obvious secret. A secret that even surprised the gods. In place of sex organs the child merely had a black hole. Their chest was simply flat. Their body was beautiful, but their face even more so.

Soft pink lips rested under a dainty little nose. Their eyes were two large orbs of ultra-violet blue, framed by dark lashes. The child's cheeks and nose both had a light pink hue to them, as if a fairy had dusted them with pink powder. Silver blonde hair framed their face, longer in front and shorter in the back so it would spike up and flare out. Their name was Gray.

Gray Starr, bastard child of Rasmus Starr and Aspen Faye. The odd creation between a demon and an angel, locked away forever. Or, so it seemed...

Gray had always been interested in the city beyond their walls and the world beyond even that. For hours they poured over maps and books, learning not only location, but culture, myth and beast as well. Often they would call July over, enthusiastically telling her stories they've made up about each place, making sure they added in their astonishment about how different each settlement was from the last.

"It's crazy," Gray sighed, "That there's so much out there."

"Not at all" Judy laughed, her sapphire blue eyes dancing with amusement. "The outside is a very vast place"

"Would you like to see it?"

Gray's head snapped up at their father's voice. "Yes, of course!" They breathed, "I want to see it all!"

"Sir...Don't be cruel..." Judy started, but Rasmus put up his hand to silence her. "I have a quest for you" He spoke to his child with all the seriousness in the world. Before Gray could speak Rasmus continued. "It's still unclear of what you're capable of. The gods and I have spoken. You are to go out and find your throne, whether it be among demons or angels"

Gray had been listening with bated breath, hardly able to process what their father was saying. "Yes, I will!" They blurted out, "Thank you! Thank you!" Both Judy and the king watched the child scramble to clean up their books. To each held their own wishes for Gray.

"A quest..." Gray grinned to himself, "To finally find out where I belong..."
