Sonata bit her lip nervously. "Do you think you can...write to princess Twilight and see of she could come here?"
Anger and depression flashed in Sunset's eyes. After the fire, her sister, Dawn Shadow, was still missing, though presumed to be dead. They had found the book that Celestia gave Sunset.
Sunset blinked slowly. "I thought you would hate her."
"I want to meet her as a friend, not someone she has to defeat. I want to know her in the same way you do; as a friend." Sonata looked hopeful. "I know what we did was wrong, and I want to know how she would feel being around me. Like...would she want to be friends, or would she hate me? Do we like the same things?" She sighed. "You don't have to say anything. I know how stupid it sounds."
"No, it's not stupid. Of course I'll write to her."
Sonata gave her a small hug. "Thank you so much."

It was one hour before the party started. Rarity, Rainbow, Sunset, Fluttershy, Sour Sweet, Sunny, Indigo, Adagio, Sonata, River, and Mera all met at the boutique.
"So, what's the plan?" Adagio asked.
None of them had any ideas.
Sour Sweet sighed. "Great, no one knows. Can we please all go home before we're killed?" She got ten glares as an answer. "We were all thinking that. I'm just the only one who actually said it."
"Josi and Blair are meeting us there," Sunset said. "A is most likely going to be at the party, so we'll watch him/her, and the Hallows sisters will get him/her alone."
Sunset grabbed Sonata's hand. "We should go in groups. Four with two, and one with three. I'm going with Sonata."
Sonata nodded. "We'll meet you there. There's something we have to do first."
The two girls didn't wait for their friends to say anything. They turned and ran out of the boutique.

Rainbow ripped a pony tail holder out of her hair. "Adagio, do you really think we'll find something tonight?"
Adagio kicked the toe of her boot against the floor. "I hope we do. But a lot of people here will be acting strange since they'll be drunk in five minutes." She glared down at her feet. "Just don't let your guard down."
"Can I-" Rainbow could feel Adagio's stare. "Can I tell you some thing?" She breathed a sigh. "I just wanted to tell you that I'm in love with Sonata."
"I see."
There was a long pause.
Adagio gave her a sympathetic smile. "Look, I know that you are really good to her, and she likes you a lot. But she's straight."
Rainbow nodded. "Okay."
"I know you and Sonata have grown very close since we came back. I'm so glad that she has you in her life." Adagio pressed her lips together. "And if one day she does go bisexual, I would be happy if you were her girlfriend. But if you hurt her, I'll whoop your ass."
"I believe it when you say that."
Adagio sighed. "How do you think the others are doing?"

Pinkie stoof at the snack table with Sunny. She was stuffing sugar cookies in her mouth.
Sunny stomped her foot. "Come on! We're trying to find out who's hurting us. We didn't come here for the food!" After being ignored, she looked over at the drinks. Liquor. She smirked. I'm sure one shot can't hurt me. I don't want to get drunk, I just want to taste it. Then I'll finally be able to say that I did something for myself. That good girl is gone.
