Earth: Year 2018

"We must have a cure to fix this virus. We need hope where there isn't any. We can't let Earth just perish!" One of the council's members was shouting at the head director.

Earth since 2016, has had many changes to its society. Disease, murder, and other catastrophes have spread throughout all of the countries. The human race, couldn't handle living in a peaceful environment. Chaos was created, and the leaders were conflicting over a solution. It was realized how they had no power for helping the world. And they needed to leave behind an answer as their final accomplishment.

"Yes. I understand we need to help. But with thought out plan! We need a revolutionary idea." Said Jack Howard, the head director of the leaders. As everyone was quickly rushing to a perfect resolution, a voice spoke up. "What if, we were to make extraordinary humans? Humans with abilities, that if they worked together on stopping disease and crime, we could have harmony spread throughout every corner of our world." A member laughed at the woman's idea. "Are you joking?! It would create more destruction and they may kill more innocent lives! Jack, you can't allow this!" Jack looked down at his hands on the table. The room stood still, while they waited for his answer on the strange idea. "This plan... It can't just be used on regular innocent people. We would take away their chance of having a normal life." The woman, the creator of my ability, Sandra Martin, rebutted quickly, "We would use sick teens, on the edge of death. They could have a second chance, they could be the saviors of this generation. Please, this might be our last hope." Howard stood there thinking about the pros and cons of the solution. Finally, he spoke. "We will follow through with this plan and hope for the best." Men and women screamed in protest, hoping to be heard. "That's a crazy plan!" "Your going to be the reason of our destruction!" "You must be a madman!" However, those protests were never taken into account.

Day of Transformation:

After hearing the news of my terminal cancer symptom, I knew I would have little time to live. I needed to let my mom and brother know I loved them before I left. Though they probably already knew. I wasn't afraid to die. In fact, I was scared of seeing my loved ones die first.

When my day had come, I knew it was time. It was like my body was a timer. It knew when it was ready to stop functioning. In my "last hours" I was in the view of my mother. "Lily, I love you so much. I know I could've been a better mother, and I..." I shushed her by speaking. She does this often everyday. Along the lines of loving me, not knowing when I would pass. It was comforting at first, but now it serves as a reminder of how little time I have left. "No, you were what I needed, so was Brandon. Your love is something not all people get in a lifetime. I was lucky to get that in a few years."

I gave her a smile, while she kept crying. Brandon soon walked in with my favorite drink, since I wanted to enjoy the rest of my time with good things. "Caramel frap with whipped cream. Anything else you need?" I smiled as I took the drink from him. "Nope, but thanks little bro."

As I went to take a sip, I suddenly felt weak in my arm, and the drink dropped spilling its' contents on the floor. I heard my mom and Brandon's cries become fainter and fainter as I began to drift away from consciousness. The last thing I heard was,"Please don't leave me Lily! Come back!" I knew I couldn't stay though, it was time.

Waking up:

I hoped I reached a better place. I saw a beam of light and thought I might actually go to heaven. I wanted to enjoy a society better than Earth was. Hopefully watch over my family as they grew older.
