It had been a long stressful week for you. You had just started college and your classes already completely sucked. In between studying you were searching for a job to keep up with your terrifying student loans. You walked through the doors of your small apartment being greeted by the sound of Calum and his band mates practicing in the living room and a mountain of dishes piled in the sink. Calum gave me a quick smile before turning his focus back to the bass.

"Alright that's good for today," Luke called out. "I need to get going." The other two boys followed close behind, throwing a quick goodbye in my direction before the door close behind them.

I glared at Calum with crossed arms and a tapping foot.

"How was job hunting (y/n)?" He leaned in to give me a kiss, only missing bc I turned my head.

"It was long. Stressful."

"What's wrong?" He asked with his dark brown eyes wide in concern.

"Couldn't you do just one little household chore to make the apartment look appealing? You had the boys over for practice with it looking like this?"

"They don't care."

"I care! I assume I'm going to have to clean all those dishes along with do all you're laundry and cook dinner tonight and do it all over again tomorrow! All so you and your shitty band can practice!" I huffed at him and threw my purse down on the dining table before heading over to the sink to start on dishes.

"We're not that shitty." He mumbled. "My day is stressful too! We have a gig tomorrow and I keep fucking up during 18. I'm gonna make a complete ass of myself on stage!"

"Ahh. So you're scared people will see your true form?"

He stared at me with an incredulous look. "Why are you being such a bitch?"

"I already told you why!" I spun on my heel walking up to him, having to stand on my tippy toes to look him in the eye. "All I'm asking is you do one chore while I'm trying to find a way to support us! All you do all day is sit on your ass and play with some strings! I have an endless list of worries and you're living a simple fucking life in MY living room!"

Something about what I said lighted a fire in his eyes. "I'm trying to support us! The other girls at my show seem to think what I do is pretty fucking great. I don't know why I stay with you when I could have any one of them!" His words stabbed at my heart, causing me to stumble backwards. He regretted saying it the second the words left his lips because he slapped a hand to his mouth as if trying to push the words back in before they could reach my ears. "(Y/n) I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I'm so sorry. I love you." He tried to pull me in a hug but I backed away with my eyes glued to the ground.

"I'm going to the bedroom. I need some space for now." I couldn't believe what had come out of Calum's mouth. I mean. I knew it already. It was obvious girls at they're shows wanted them. I used to be one of those girls. He just didn't have to voice it. I crawled into bed with thoughts drowning in my thoughts and somehow managed to fall asleep.

"(Y/n)" Calum whispered softly shaking me awake.

The smell of syrup invaded my nostrils and as I sat up I saw a whole breakfast meal laid out in front of me. Eggs. Bacon. Waffles. Toast. The best kinds of food.

"I wanted to say I was sorry again. I figured you'd be hungry now. Everything is cleaned up in the kitchen." He just looked at me as I sat up and stretched a bit. "I really am sorry (y/n). I didn't mean to say that. It just came out."

I reached out and pulled him in a hug trying to hold back my tears. "I'm sorry too Calum. I said some things I didn't mean too."

"I love you." He said squeezing me back tightly.

"I love you too."
