I plug in the charger and let my phone start charging before it almost dies. I grab the covers and lay down comfortably in my bed in our cabin as I hear my sister snoring in the bed above mine. 'The headphones are in one hell of a mess again' I think to myself as I try to untangle them in the dark. Finally untangled, I plug in the headphones, open up Spotify  and put a random playlist on shuffle. It's past midnight as I browse my way among the never-ending depths of the internet and the countless social medias. Trying to be nice, I post "happy holidays"-messages to random people who's profiles I happen to come across. Not thinking I'd get any significant responses from said people, I keep going, browsing and browsing. Suddenly I get a notification, telling me that I've received a message. Wondering who it might be from at this hour, I open it and notice it's from one of the people that I, just a moment ago, sent a message to. Said person goes with the name zampooh on this specific website, and I answer zampooh with a few selected emojis. At the moment it's almost 1 am, and I can feel the need of sleep weighing down on me. With a smile on my face, I fall asleep.

For some reason all I can think about during the whole next day is that one specific message. It's just a nice gesture, that's all, but it's all I can think about as well. By the time I get a decent internet connection, since me and my family are out in the middle of the woods, it's already 6 pm. I decide to, just to be nice, send this zampooh a message. What kind of message? I don't know. I just feel like sending this person some kind of message, with no apparent reason as well. After a moment of thinking I send them a message saying "Hi how's it going? :)". I don't have to wait for long, as I get a notification after merely one hour. The conversation keeps on going with the two of us, two complete strangers, telling each other what we've been up to during the past day. I, Hayley, usually being the most antisocial human being there is, had suddenlytaken enough courage to myself and had started talking to a complete stranger through the internet. I then learned that his name was Nathan.

This was the moment when the two of us first met... And this, folks, this was only the beginning.

*So... Um, hi, I'm back... For now atleast. I kinda wanna take up writing again, but I seriously haven't had the motivation for it, but today I thought of a thing that I could write about. So, the prologue is done... but I don't promise for chapter one or future chapters in general to be uploaded that often, for me first of all being busy with school, but secondly also being very lazy. But eh... I hope it was an okay start to this story, I really don't know how to start stories tbh.

I'll be back! ...maybe.
