It lay there, a smug grin twisted across its face. The thing's pink eyes glittered in indifference toward the lot of us. Another one with blue eyes lazed on its left beside it and smiled sympathetically.
"You need our help?" They cooed in unison. They made a few purring noises, cocking their heads to and fro.
They began to cackle, their maws parting, tongues flicking and writhing. Strands of slaver dripping from their mouths. Sharp teeth gossamer and sleek, enough to sheer through flesh with ease. Their jaws were strong enough to snap bone.
"I'd like to change the world, but I don't know what to do, so I'll leave it up to you!" They chorused in song, through broken shards of laughter.
The one with pink eyes turned to the other, beaming wildly. "Should we, mi amore?" It said with a sordid twinge to its voice.
"Yes, yes," Replied the other, slowly rolling onto its stomach. "On one condition."
They crossed their forelegs simultaneously. "It seems we have come to an agreement." Chirred both.
