"Aw, come on.", whined Jackson. "The food is cold."

"What happened? We sent you over an hour ago to go get lunch. And Jaebum here was out forever looking for you."

My eyes then darted over to Jaebum himself, wearing a smug smirk on his face. The mischievous twinkle in his eyes made him look like a child who had a secret...and he was proud of it. When he finally looked my way, his smirk only became bigger. A look that said "no one else has to know".

I quickly broke eye contact and smoothed down my hair, which I was suddenly self conscious about, before turning to face the rest of the group. "I'm sorry, guys. It won't happen again. I'm still new here and the city is so big...I still don't know my way around and I sorta got lost.", I lied. Well, half lied.

"Yeah, she was super far out.", added Jaebum, as if he wasn't the reason we weren't in this situation in the first place.

The guys grumbled in response, so I could only assume I was fogiven. They grabbed their things and made their way out the practice room for lunch.

"JB, hyung. Are you coming?", called Yugyeom.

Jaebum waved a hand to dismiss him. "I'll catch up in a minute."

Yugyeom shrugged and made his way out with the others.

I turned to Jaebum. "Who exactly do you think you are?", I asked him.

"You seem a little mad.", he said nonchalantly.

I glared at him. "I'm serious. What if one of them complains now? Are you trying to get me fired?"

"Relax.", he said. "You aren't gonna lose your job over that. Besides, as long as they're eating, they won't do much more complaining."

"You're unbelievable, you know that?"

"I don't think you were saying that about ten minutes ago but okay."

I felt my face grow hot and turned to make my way out, partly due to my annoyance with him and partly because I wasn't going to let him see me like this. He put out a hand to stop me, taking me by surprise.

"But, hey..." His face inched closer and closer to mine. Our lips were almost touching again for the second time today. Almost was such a big word. "Don't get the wrong impression though...I still can't stand you." He pulled away, just as quick as everything else that had happened today and went to join his group members, leaving me standing there like an idiot.
