Okay, guys, I have no idea where this idea came from. Just, inspirational ideas, or whatever. Poop. How weird does this sound? The story should be less weird. I don't what people would classify as weird or if this counts, but yeah. This is the story of a poor girl. Well, she starts off as a jerk, and a real b-

BUTT! BUTT! I was going to say butt. Okay, but yeah. Ha. Here is the story.

I stepped out of the car one foot at a time, just like in the movies. It was cooler that way and it showed off my hot pink heels, the latest rage- one that I had created.  My makeup: perfection. My outfit: flawless. I wore a baggy tee with skinny jeans, and of course the heels. Fashion was an odd thing at this high school, and I made it my job to stay on top of it.

I could see my aunt rolling her eyes at me as I stepped out of the car but the crowd, or paparazzi, as I liked to call them, was already swallowing me whole. I had to practically yank my designer bag from the hands of some peasant.

"Hey Kenzie!"  I heard my name being call, and I nearly gagged. I know that voice anywhere. My so called 'best friend' Charlene. Its a totally one sided relationship between us; I know she made out with my brother behind the lockers on the second floor by the library. My brother, Micheal,  is one grade younger than me tells me everything.

"Hey Char, what's happening?" I fake smile. Being popular let you have skills such as fake smiling.

"Brenden told me to get you. He's in the library, waiting do you. He has a gift for you!" she winked.

She thinks she's pretty. I practically barfed. But I had a boyfriend  to meet. "Thanks, Char!"

I walked briskly to the library, glaring at anyone who dared to get in my way. People stepped back and looked at me.  I walked up the stairs and walked through the third hall. I saw the library door, and went open it. I wanted to know what the gift was. Brenden has been joking about getting me a car for our anniversary and I don't know if he was being real or not.

Then this kid got in my way. I totally didn't see him until he crashed into me and I landed on my butt on the floor.

" hey watch where you're going!" I said to him. He was cute in a nerdy way. A total heartthrob for a geeky girl. But defiantly not for me.

"Sorry, ma'am, " he spoke, but I didn't care.  He offered me his hand, but then the bell rang. My boyfriend walked out the library and saw the situation.

"Leave my girlfriend alone!" He growled, pushing the kid to the lockers. His friends magically appeared and started beating up the kid.

Brenden put his hand on my shoulder and lead me to my first  class.

School went by fast after that.  Brendan had NOT gotten me a car, instead a gift card to a shopping department that I go to regularly.

After school,  he took me to a restaurant.  He drove me home and that's where it happened. And not a good it.

"At least let me walk you to the door!" Brenden pleaded. "No, you know my parents."

"Fine," he said. It didn't escape me that he didn't try that hard today. Usually this conversation lasts like ten minutes. Maybe he was finally giving up on walking me to my door.

I gave him a peck on the cheek and got out of the car. When I got to the door, I turned and waved. His car was already gone. Something was not right about him today. I was thinking about what I had done.

But their shouting interrupted my thoughts.

"I HATE YOU!  YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING LITTLE BI-" Dad.

"YOU SPILLED YOUR BOOZE ON ME, AS-" Mom.

"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!"

I heard glass shattering. My dad was a drunk, but he never actually beat my mom. I attempted to open the front door, but it slammed open on its own. My mom was in the doorway, crying. This is where I wasn't popular, just another mouth to feed and waste of money. Well, according to my dad.

"Did he hurt you? Where did he hit you?" I asked in a rush. As long as I remember, my dad has never hit my mom. He never wanted to go to jail more than he had to.

"He didn't hit me. Pack your bags, Kenzie." Tears fell from her cheeks, and on to her shirt. She looked frail, and delicate, like I could break her with a gentle nudge.

"Why, Mom? Where's Micheal?"

"YOU HAVE ONE DAY! THE LOCKS ARE CHANGING TOMORROW!" I heard my dad shout from inside the house.

"We're moving."

Then my life flipped over.
