Alex settled near the calm water and gazed into it. It was very soothing to relax after a difficult day of school. "Are you male or female? Are you even human?" Alex let these negative thoughts that were spread about him/her flow into the water, and disappear. Even Alex him/herself never new whether he/she was male or female, however, Alex didn't care much. Being used to the torment received at school, Alex found it quite simple to forget the hateful comments those at school made of him/her. After a fairly long and soothing period of relaxation, Alex stood and look into the small, yet beautiful lake he/she had arranged within the backyard and then turned to go inside and finish his/her homework. However, as he/she looked upon the lake one last time, something in it caught his/her eye. One very unique blossom within the lake stood out. Fully bloomed, the unique flower had intrigue designs which seemed although strange, at the same time natural. These designs, which were a light purple and all over the flower, stood out to Alex. Alex reached over to pick up the flower. It felt softer, more fragile than the others. Feeling connected to it, Alex held it in his/her hands, smiling upon it.

"You're just like me. Beautiful, amazing, unique, yet small and frail. But it seems we both manage to survive in this twisted world." Alex, carefully holding the blossom, brought it inside inside and put it on a plate, then brought it to his desk.
That day, after finishing his/her homework, Alex studying the design of the blossom. After some time, he/she copied the design and drew it on the plate he had left the flower on. The plate that held the flower was just as beautiful as the flower itself, reminding Alex that maybe, someday, the world might just be as beautiful as him/herself.
